“OK for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

Pro: The price and fairly comfortable beds.
Cons: Bathroom is extremely small and no counter space at all. I was afraid to walk barefoot on the bathroom floor as the grout between the tiles was very dirty. The bathtub bottom is very slick and unsafe. I had requested a rubber bathmat when making the reservation but that request was not met therefore my family, especially my disabled husband, was unable to shower. No carpeting in the room. The floor is granite tile. Smoke detector needs maintenance.

Would rate it zero- had the worst experience- we booked this motel last minute, because we were tired of driving back to UT from Vegas after a long trip- in LA and Vegas- during Thanksgiving 2013.

Pros- they were open in the middle of the night
Cons- everything else
- they gave us a room that smelled of sweat- and the pillows and sheets seemed to not have been cleaned at all - found bed bugs in the morning in the bed.

If we weren't dead-tired I would have left as soon as I saw the room.
Customer service in the morning was abominable as well- when we went to return the key we wanted to mention the bedbugs and the unclean room- but they dismissed us as if they know they gave us the worst room..
Please do yourself a favor and shelve a few extra dollars for any of the other reasonably priced motels in St. George.

Clean, right for the price. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Previous owners were an upscale chain. If you want more, go pay more. Breakfast was acceptable. Great location, close to everything downtown.

A Good location and an affordable price. Compared to some "things" I have read about motels and hotels in the area this is one of the "best". Over the years I have stayed at the Bluff St location more than 20 times ...I may have complaints but this Inn has every thing 5 star hotels have microwave...laundry..continental breakfast...sometimes the nightly rate is as low as $39 , if the all local hotels and motels are full then price is higher...I don't expect 4 or 5 star accommodations ... I always like my stay ...because the hotel is steps away from a grocery, a department store, and many other stores along with a bank . Local bus route is also a few feet from the hotel ... front door service to and from Las Vegas and locations in Utah.....

We had stayed here several years ago and were shocked that the hotel is no where near the standard it use to be. We had pre-booked a couple of 'one-off' nights to suit our touring schedule and on each occasion had a very comfy stay - but it was only a place for us to crash and freshen-up and the price reflected this.

The gentleman on reception was not exactly friendly or welcoming which was a shame however other staff were OK.
Each time we stayed we were in rooms on the ground floor and the corridors were quite dark and depressing. The room was large and basic with a table and 2 chairs (if you wanted to eat in your room or use it to work at). All the furniture and decor was old and generally in need of a revamp but, overall, it did its job adequately. The bed was large (king size) and very comfy and the shower over the bath was hot & powerful (more than can be said for many hotels).

Breakfast (included in the price) was laid out in a side room just off reception on a 'help yourself' basis, but the containers were almost empty and looked (at best) dirty. We only had a hot chocolate drink from the vending machine.

Overall it served its purpose as a place to sleep and shower but it does need a revamp in all areas.

This was one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in. The rooms were cramped. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. They were so flat and matted down they were useless. The furniture was very cheap. The nightstand was so rickety it swayed back and forth if we touched. it. The carpets were filthy, especially the ones in the halls. They looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The rooms smelled like they'd been sprayed to cover up odors and it wasn't a good smell. It was very obnoxious and cloying. The alarm clock in our room was unplugged when we got there. We found out why when we tried to use it. It made weird noises sporadically all night. There was supposed to be a soap/shampoo dispenser in the tub/shower, but it was missing. The sticky things to hold it on were still there, though. There was only one washcloth in the room and the towels were tiny and thin. The only good thing I can say is that the breakfast was included and okay. We were very glad we were only staying one night. We had other family members staying there, too, and they thought it was awful, too. We won't be staying here again.

Registration was not very friendly, strictly business like. We had booked a room with king bed through Expedia, but ended up with 2 queen beds, not a big deal. We were ask to show our passport as id, which surprised me! But it maybe was the best way to show who we were. The hotel was a disappointment. The hallway carpets are worn and need replacement.
The room was clean, however the bed mattress was surely old and leaned to one side. The towels were very poor, well worn and small
We had a good deal through expedia and for that price it was ok for a one night stay. Free continental breakfast was very poor. Very crowded. Garbage were overflowing. They were out of waffle batter. It was eventually replenished after an attendant was eventually located, but a bit too late . They would be better not to offer breakfast and claim to go green. What a waste of paper and styrofoam plates and cups and plastic utensils. I would not stay there again although the price was very good
