“Great Hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2011

This is by far the best place we stay on our trip down and back to Arizona from British Columbia. It is very clean, VERY comfortable beds, large rooms, quiet, free wifi, easy check in and great staff. There is also no additional pet fee! Would recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay for a very reasonable price.

We arrived after being a blizzard for over 3 hours. We were tired and road weary. Check in was so easy, Jana could tell I was tired. Our room rate was discounted $8 by showing AARP card. They take pets but only in certain rooms. The hotel is new and spotless. No sounds from the other rooms, endless hot water. The rooms have a fridge and microwave for the added plus of making popcorn. There is a 24 heath center with all new equipment. A business center with 2 computer but why bother, free wifi.

The best was the free hot breakfast. Waffles, orange juice and sausage. There was cereal, bagels, toast, hash browns, every kind of juice, fresh fruit. The typical hot breakfast for a hotel but it saved us $25 on food cost for breakfast.

There is a pool but it is outside, where it is 30 degrees this morning.

Don't hesitate to stay here, on the south end of town so it is a perfect place with little traffic noise.

The front desk was beyond helpful and truly a joy.

The first two nights of a three weeks trip to the Southwest was spent in St. George, UT. After a twelve hour flight from Germany and two hours on the road from Las Vegas I was tired and found the right place. Nicely decorated the front door, a warm welcome at the front desk, a well-appointed room and a marvelous bed. That was exactly what needed. Everything sparkling clean, the rooms well isolated against noise and a good breakfast - what else can one want? I recommend this hotel to everybody.

After a 12 hour drive, this was just what the doctor ordered. We did not have reservations, but they were able to accommodate us as well as our large dog. Plus there was no additional pet fee! There were fresh cookies at check in, which was really nice after a long road trip. The staff was very helpful and helped up find an a place for dinner late on a Sunday. Breakfast leaves a bit to be desired, but overall this was a great place to stop and get some zzzs.

Our stay at this La Quinta was exceptional! Not only was our room clean(which is the most important matter to me)but the entire premises was spotless. We had exceptional service from the front desk and the maid service. We travel through the area a couple of times a year and will always look forward to our stay.

Room Tip: Top floor away from the highway side.

We have stayed an many La Quinta hotels in our travels- all of them very pleasant. But this facility is at the top of the list based on our recent experience there. Clean, attractive facility and grounds, top notch room- spacious, clean, and with very comfortable bed, friendly front desk staff, and a better than average complimentary breakfast (including bacon and eggs) and dining area. This will be a regular stop for us whenever we are headed to destinations that take us through St. George.

My husband and I have stayed here before, and really enjoyed it. This time, however, not so much. We went to St. George for a quiet weekend, and the first night was fine, but the second was a nightmare. I think there was probably no one in the room above us, since it was fairly quiet. The second night, however, was completely different. We went back to the room early, to watch TV and sleep, planning to get up early the next day to leave. About 6 pm, the occupants of the room above ours began running back and forth in their room. It sounded liked there was a stampede going on up there, with running and jumping. After about 20 minutes of this, my husband called the front desk and requested they ask the guests to quiet down. Twenty minutes later, the noise was still going on, so my husband went downstairs to ask the clerk directly to stop the noise. She was on the computer (apparently either playing a video game or checking facebook, from what he could see), and he asked her again if she could ask them to stop. She said, "oh, yeah, just like five minutes before you called they asked about the pool." He told her, "Well, that was almost thirty minutes ago" (and what does that have to do with them stopping the noise?) WHICH WAS NEVER STOPPED AND WENT ON UNTIL AFTER ONE AM IN THE MORNING. So the next morning it started again about six am and he went downstairs to mention it about 8 am and the clerk who was on duty at that time, when he told her about the noise, just shrugged her shoulders as if to say, "well, what can I do?" Note to employee: You work at the hotel. YOU CAN TELL THEM TO STOP THE NOISE AND LET THE OTHER GUESTS SLEEP. Needless to say, we left the hotel more tired than when we arrived, and that never should have happened. The employees (at least those on duty Thanksgiving weekend) obviously don't care about the guests at all and were just there for the paycheck.

Room Tip: If you have children, ask for a ground floor so as not to disturb other guests (if you allow your ki...

I apologize that you left the hotel tired. That is definately not our intent. I recieved a call from you on this matter and looked into what happened very seriously. I checked with my deskclerks who were on duty and reviewed security cameras to see what took place. From what I observed the clerk did everything possible to help quiet the noise. Unfortunately, when we are full sometimes the noise sounds like it is coming above you, but it may be in the hallway or another room. I hope this does not tarnish your view of our hotel or prevent you from staying with us again. I just had to say in my employees defense I witnessed them taking care of the situation as best they could under the circumstances.
