“Very nice property and good service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

After a long day of driving we came in pretty late to this place. It turned out to be a welcome relief, almost an oasis, as we had terrific service, a perfect room, and a great night of rest.

Check-in was quick, friendly and professional.

The larger than average room was in great shape, very clean, and looked to be fairly new. The room was very quiet, and at night we could get it dark and very cool, so we slept amazingly well. We were in the back of the building and had a view of the road, but I think you can get a pretty good view if you are in a room in the front of the building. I think. We were there to sleep, eat and get back on the road, so the view we had was fine.

There was a laundromat in the building, so after a week on the road, we did laundry there without any issues.

There was free internet, but it was slow.

Breakfast in the morning was very good and had a variety of food items. I was fascinated with the pancake maker. You press a button and out pops a pancake about a minute later. The batter pouring and cooking all happens within the machine. There were also several different kinds of juice to choose from, fruit, breads and I think eggs.

A really great stay and one I would highly recommend. I would look forward to another stay here if my road passed through this part of UT again.

(I love how you can read the last three reviews and feel like you are reading three people's perspective on the same weekend and the inter-relationship between the three of them - kids, parents, barking dog : )

Room Tip: I think a room in the front of the hotel has a better view.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. The pancake machine is quite the highlight of the breakfast and we are all hoping this will be available on the market soon right:) Thank you for anticipating staying with us the next time you travel this way--we cant wait to see you again!!!

Anyone driving through Utah knows that this is not always fun. Exhausted and wanting to drop after driving for what seemed like an eternity, we happened upon Richfield and pulled into the Holiday Inn Express. Upon entering the lobby we realized the place was swarming with loud children sans parents. It was at this point I asked (begged) the awesome guy at the desk to please find us a room as far away from this large group as possible. I believe his name was LaNeal and he took the extra time to find us a new room where we could find some peace. I am usually pretty picky when it comes to cleanliness and our room was spotless. Seriously. Spotless. The next day an equally friendly and efficient young man checked us out. This Holiday Inn Express gets extra points for allowing our dog, although we did have to pay an extra $20 for her. Would totally stay here again... No worries/No problems.

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us during your long drive:) I am so happy that LaNeal was able to take care of you and am sure he was quite happy to do so:):) We are glad you noticed the extra clean room that our maids take pride in. Hope to see you again soon!!!

We took a Road trip to Las Vegas from Denver and we stopped on the way in Richfield, Utah. We decided to stay at Holiday Inn Express due to the value and the free breakfast. I'm not sorry we did. The hotel is beautiful and modern. The rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable and the pool was open late for the kids, which was very beneficial to us adults! I loved the beds, I thought they were very comfortable! My friend, however, thought they were too soft. The breakfast buffet was nice. They had sausage, eggs, toast, you name it, and a pancake maker! The eggs I did not like much but the buffet was perfect for us. I will definitely stay here again.

So glad you enjoyed your visit with us. We definitely have quite the variety for breakfast--on top of all the things guests are used to at a buffet breakfast we go a step further and take in our guests suggestions and offer much more. Along with pancakes we have french toast and waffles, variety of coffee creamers, biscuits and gravy daily, rotation between omlets and scrabbled eggs, rotation between ham, sausage and bacon and much much more. Thank you so much for taking your time to comment on our hotel and please come see us again:)

Stayed here on our home-bound trip California to Colorado. We enjoyed our stay. Nice decor and super comfy beds! We had fun family time in pool and hot tub, temperatures were perfect! Agree with previous poster about chemicals. Our kids are on the swim team so have been in multiple pools and my youngest was actually crying from how bad her eyes hurt as we were going back to the room. We all had read eyes after. Breakfast was fantastic and cookies upon check in was a nice touch. Unfortunately we were woken up at 6 in the morning by dog barking both outside and inside the hotel.

I had missed that this hotel does not supply fridges or microwaves in its rooms when booking. I probably wouldn't have booked it if I'd realized that but since it was the last night of our trip were didn't have much food left in cooler. The front desk did let me use the commercial microwave in the kitchen to pop popcorn but I felt a bit awkward and couldn't figure out how to restart in for second bag. A user friendly microwave in the breakfast area would at least help some. The kids loved the pancake maker!

We had a room looking away from interstate with a beautiful view. We walked to Arby's for dinner.

Thank You Thank You for choosing us as your half way stop:) Very sorry to hear about your kids' eyes though. That's not fun at all. Please tell your youngest that we are sorry and are working on getting more vents in the pool room and to not worry when you guys travel through again. We do have fridges and microwaves available upon request. We appreciate your feedback and want you to know that's how we make our hotel a perfect place to stay.

As many have written, this is the nicest spot to rest between Colorado and LA. The rooms are beautiful. The beds are comfy. The service great. The breakfast yummy.
The only negative thing I could find with this place was the chemicals in the pool were almost too much to handle. I was just watching my daughter, and my eyes were burning. Once she got out, we needed to get some eye drops cause they hurt so bad.
We got in to town around 9:30 pm and were hungry. When we called the various restaurants around town, everyone was closed. The gentleman at the front desk recommended Wingers which was open until 10pm. We rushed over there and were surprised at how sweet the service was and how good the food was.
Also, they are a dog friendly establishment!

Thank you so much for your review:) We love to hear the positive and (believe it or not) the negative. Our hotel is successful because of our guests suggestions and honesty. We are able to make your stay as comfortable as possible due to us taking comments seriously and doing something about them. Since our chemicals in our pool are exactly what they need to be and are tested several times a day, we know that we can adjust the air flow in the room to make it more comfortable to the eyes:) Please come stay with us again and use the pool so you can see the difference!!!

We stopped here just for one night but its a great hotel! Rooms were big and smelled very fresh! Everything's still new and clean! Very well maintained. The breakfast is great and there was a restaurant within walking distance open all day, however they were closing when we arrived so we walked over to a nearby Arby's. They also had a big parking lot with plenty of room for our truck and boat plus a truck stop right across the street! Great hotel and location!

This is the ideal 1/2 way point between So Cal and Denver Colorado, and the perfect way to begin your vacation or road trip.
This hotel could be the "Poster Child" for all Holiday Inn Express Hotels, completely renovated,
beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and luxuriously comfortable.
Our room was on the freeway side, yet was so quiet you would never know. The beds and pillows rival any 5 star hotel. The towels are thick and soft, the bathrooms roomy and spacious.
The amenities are all top notch and they have everything you could possible want...pool, jacuzzi, gym, and business center.
Don't miss the pancakes at breakfast, but get up early... they close the breakfast room by 9:30.
To top it all off, the customer service is excellent. Establishments like these make traveling an enjoyable experience. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend it!
