“I hate to admit how often we go.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

We love Mexican food and El Azteca offers a great menu of delicious items. The beef tacos, beans, and rice is my favorite...Or is it the . . . You name it, we love the offerings. Simple atmosphere, delightful people that work there, kid friendly and just downright GREAT!

“Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

It looks like a dirty little hole but it is actually good. The desserts are super cheap for how tasty they are.

“Lots of unusual Mexican dishes and great prices. We loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

The El Azteca is nothing fancy. It is relatively small and most of the seating is plastic booths. But I was very impressed with the selection of Mexican dishes available, with flavors and ingredients you don't usually see (check my photos for the menus as of July 2011). Breakfast served all dau. You order and pick up at the counter. My son and I got out of there for $15. Convenient to BYU.

“Great food and atmosphere!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

This is such a fun place to go! They have changed the menu recently and given more options that have a great variety of flavors. Deserts are just as good! Try the chocolate quesadilla-yumm!

“Authentic Mexican amid a sea of fast-food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2010

Spent a weekend in Provo, and caught site of a truly authentic-looking taqueria on a street with the usual fast-food fare. What a treat! The food was fresh, homemade and the closest taste of Mexico I have had in along time. Be sure to try the mole, which the manager told me is made weekly by his mother - a rich sauce based in choclate and spices. Also, on Fri and Sat you can get posole - a stew of pork and hominy - great on a cold day! Taquitos are filled with potato - so unusual! Nothing will disappoint.
