“Great RV Park in Provo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We stayed here one night- the wrong night. I messed up our itinerary and we arrived a day early. Oops. In a VERY full campground the staff here were able to find us a place to park our weary selves! The husband and kids had a great time in the pool, and I found a shady spot to sit and read while doing a small mountain of laundry. Cute, themed atmosphere. Comfortable bathrooms and showers. Sites are a little close, but still comfortable. Friendly, family atmosphere. We would stay here again.

The staff at this park is not friendly at all!!! The grass is overgrown and the Mosquitos are horrible!!! The park is shady and the restrooms are clean. If you have a guest visit you are talked to like a child that your friends need to stay by you. No walking around!! The owners act like they are doing you a favor by letting you stay here. Lots of bugs so keep your door closed. The run their old sprinklers at night they just leave a muddy mosquito infested yard. Not sure why the water since it doesn't look like the mow!! Pay the extra to stay at the lake right next door.

Camping around Provo is surprisingly scarce ... and pricey. Heck, the state park at Utah Lake charges, I read, $20 for a spot of tent land!! I learned about Lakeside from another local RV park -and went for it because, truthfully, the pickings are so slim AND I needed a place to rest for a few nights ... though admittedly $22 a night (inc. tax) is steep.

It is Wi-Fi, mostly. They were having issues one of the three nights I was there so there was no Wi-Fi. Put a sting in the high price.

Next, the showers are great. Real good hot water and heavenly when you've been roughing it. The on-site laundromat was also useful (though not cheap at a buck-50 for each washer and dryer and btw, bring your soap.)

The restrooms, showers and laundromat require a passcode (provided when you pay) to help keep out riffraff. Also there's a three-day stay limit, a rule they abide by even if campers are sparse, fyi.
Noise from the nearby road was present but not obtrusive. Ans Bud the camp cat made my stay super-pleasant.

All in all, a pleasant but pricey stay.

We stayed here one night passing through UT. It was a nice park, clean secure bathroom and showers. Close to the airport so it's a little noisy. Nice site with plenty of room. We would stay here again.

On our recent trip to Idaho, we stopped in Provo UT for one night along the way. We stayed at Lakeside RV Campground. It was a clean RV park and had long pull-throughs so we didn't have to unhook our trailer. We enjoyed the scenic walk (and dog walk) area at the park, along the Provo River. Spots were a little close together and our door faced the door of the RV next to us which we didn't really like. But over all, the park was nice and we'd stay there again if in the area.

Stayed here for a week in July 2012 with two teens in a 5th wheel. Used this as a base camp to visit SLC, Park City and surrounding areas. Had a blast and campground was fine. Spots are very close together so and end spot is nice. Bathrooms, Laundry and pool were great, very clean. Office gals were nice but owner was a grump. Walked around barking at campers every day we say him! Yelled at my family and another group for breaking a swing next to the pool that none of us had touched! A board had broke and he fixed it in five minutes. He needs an attitude adjustment! Make sure you visit the ice cream trailer - 3 bucks gets you a dish that two adults cannot finish! WOW!! Had fun and would come back. Try to get an end site away from the office. Most spots have good shade but a few do not. Most of the campground if filled up with full-timers but the don't mix the sites with weekenders.

We stayed one night here while we were on the road and testing out our new RV. We really enjoyed it. The staff was very nice, and helpful. Even the other campers were helpful as we had a few minor troubles getting set-up. Having full hook-ups as well as the full bathrooms were convienient as well.
It's a very pretty location with all the trees!
Yes there were bugs after dark, but we expect that when we're camping.
