“Good value and well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

As mentioned by other reviewers this is not a 5 star motel. Parowan is a small town but for a 2-3 star motel, the room was clean and all the basics were there and as someone else mentioned it cost around $60 + tax per night and that included a free breakfast. There is also a small supermarket directly across the street which suited us down to the ground, as we had a long day of travel. The receptionist was a lovely young girl and was happy to tell us about the 'big game' on the walls.

We were also looking for a place with a laundry and that was another tick on the list for us. Just be aware though there is only one dryer and one washer so it did become like a production line where as soon as washing was taken out there was someone ready to put theirs in. We also brought some laundry powder at the supermarket as I didn't see any in the laundry or notices up to say you could buy it at reception.

Yes, there is paint chipping off in areas and cracks in the steps up to level 2 but they also have a spa and swimming pool which not many of this level of motel offer. It was a nice surprise.

We had a really nice stay and it was great value and set us up well for the next part of our driving tour.

I was very happy. Lots of parking, pizza place next door and store across the street, we were passing through to AZ and the hotels in Kanab were a lot more expensive and some sold out. There is an indoor pool but we didn't use it

driving from Las Vegas we arrived in this motel at 8 PM. we were tired and we were just looking for an unexpensive accomodation to spend the night and... we found it ! the room was basic but clean. we were looking for a king bed but they had only a room with 2 queen beds. in any case, we paid 67$ tax included that was fine for us. in the room there was coffemaker, fridge and microwave. the breakfast in the morning was good and there was a a huge choice of options: eggs, sausage patties, muffins, cereals and waffles to make (that I really love!!).

My partner and I stayed here in July 2012 on a trip around America. The staff were really friendly, the room was a good size and the pool was great. We also loved the breakfast in the morning as there was a huge choice of options. We were very happy and thought this was great value for money.

Having read some previous reviews we were a little wary but when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel has been refurbished and there has been a new manger since June.
The car park had been resurfaced, there is an indoor pool which is well maintained.
Our room had been redecorated, re-carpeted, even a new shower head and toilet.
It smelled fresh and there was plenty of room. New Fridge and microwave.
TV was old and the coax connection was not good but otherwise the room was excellent.
Breakfast was cold and cooked. The waffles, sausage, egg patties, baigles and cream cheese made for a good start to the day. (no weak mixture as in previous comments).
This is hotel which has taken notice of poor comments in the past and acted accordingly.
At under $60 this was much better than expected.
We would stay again.

The hotel was nice, pretty close to a pizza restaurant which was nice. The pool is not what it looks like in the picture, I think the heat was on in the room so it felt like an uncomfortable sauna. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was mediocre, I guess you get what you pay for.

We stayed here for one night while we were traveling through Southern Utah. The front desk clerk was great and did his best to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were dark and musty, but manageable. The breakfast was decent. There is nothing to do nearby, so don't expect any late night dining or activities. I would recommend it as a place to stop for a night, but probably wouldn't say there for more than 2-3 nights.
