“A Nice Place to stay in Park City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

We stayed at the Yarrow Hotel on a quick trip to Park City. The hotel was referred to us by another co-worker and was everything they indicated. It was easy to locate since it was on the main junction of Park Avenue and Exit #4. Parking was a little inconvenient and we would have like to have parking with a loading zone adjacent to the entry. We did have a long line when we entered the building but it was handled in a reasonable time.

Our room was neat and clean with two queen beds and a table and chairs. The TV was not HD which was a little suprising and different from what we had at home. Although we did not use the pool and hot tube, many others did and it appear to be satisfactory. The evening was cool and the pool appeared to be heated adequately.

We were going to eat at the adjacent restaurant, but the ratings at Trip Advisor were so bad, we decided to go to downtown Park City where we had a wonderful dinner .

All in all it was a very nice place to stay and we would do so again if the occasion presented itself.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room toward the rear of the motel. It was close to parking which made it very conven...

I live in Park City and stayed at the yarrow for a couple of nights during a move. Overall I’d give it a rating of “decent.” It was an OK value at the end of the ski season, it’s reasonably well located (although a car is probably still needed), the property is clean and overall OK. Do not expect anything fancy or particularly up to date here. This property looks to have been built in the late 80s or early 90s and probably has not seen a dime of renovation since. The interiors are your typical Park City, overstuffed sofa, random “old-west/mining town” lithographs, etc. You’re basically staying in a parking lot between a movie theater, sports authority and an grocery store so if location charm or romance is your thing, I’d move on. However, if value is your main driver, you’ll have a car to get around and you really just need a reasonable place to crash after your day on the hill, this is probably not a bad option.

The Yarrow is always s a great choice. It is centrally located, which makes it easy to get around. The rooms are nice and clean and have been recently remodeled. Staff was very helpful. We brought our bikes and stored them for us. Went over things to do in the area for us and gave us a coupon book.

Room Tip: Try to get an upper floor.

Rooms were spacious, quiet, clean and very appointed. There is not a free breakfast but we enjoyed the restaurant attached to the building. Free shuttle to town center for shopping and dining and we drove around the area. Great place to relax and enjoy the mountains we'd stay there again, loved park city utah.

We knew that for the price we were not going to get anything spectacular, but we had a great time at this hotel. We are a family of 8 so we got 2 rooms which fit us great. The kids loved the pool. Overall just dandy!

We stayed here for a wedding and it was worth the value. There was a pool that we did not get to use but the hotel itself was good. The restaurant doesn't cook burgers or meat anything other than well done so that was disappointing since I don't like my food incinerated. There is not free breakfast included in the price. Otherwise the rooms were clean, quiet and spacious. Plenty of places to go out to eat or go shopping around the hotel and the free shuttle to town center is a plus. I recommend this place if you don't want to spend too much.

Dear Wedding Guest,

We appreciate your comments and are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

I will speak to the Chef about the meat temperature, because I am a medium rare on my steak!

Hopefully you will choose to return to Park City when you are not obligated time wise and that steak or burger will be on me!

Respectfully,

Kim Owen Dinsmoor

Our extended family (50 strong - ages 3-88) spent three days at this hotel and it fit our needs surprisingly well. The rooms were spacious and clean, the lobby was appealing and the catered dinners were just what we needed. The kids loved the pool and several of our young adults enjoyed the work out center. The hotel staff put all of the rooms in close proximity so we were all together in the same area of the hotel. This hotel is a focal point as you come into town (easy to find) and close to the action of the historic district, museum and chairlift to the top of the mountain for spectacular views.
If you have a few spare hours in P.C. be sure to visit The Winter Olympics Training Facility(just outside of town) to watch some of America's best young athletes prepare for the upcoming competitions. A tour bus (minimal cost) takes you around the facility and a young guide explains some of the nuances of the various (less publicized as well as the old standards) events. It is an excellent way to spend an afternoon.
The only downside of The Yarrow is the fact that this venerable Old Lady is starting to show her age and might have a little trouble competing with some of the newer, more modern facilities.
