“Nice property, 5 star is a reach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011

The staff at this property is 5 star, the rooms and common areas not so much. It's a very nice property, however the design is dated as are the room layouts. The WiFi was free ( good thing) however it disconnects you every 60-90 minutes which is a real pain if your working off VPN. I received an in room food tray as part of the group i was with which was excellent. However is was still there 2 days later even after i called twice to have removed. I would of considered this isolated except it came up at dinner with the team and all 12 of us had the same issue. Bathroom is tight but the bedroom is nice and the bed's are first rate. The food was excellent but pricey. Overall a very nice resort, but not among the best in the US .

My husband and I stayed at this resort for a business conference, but we had a lot of free time to enjoy the area. The lodge is wonderful with a beautiful setting in the Deer Valley area, which is ten minutes outside of Historic Park City. We had a one bedroom suite that overlooked the ski area. This room was very spacious with a fireplace in the living area and bedroom. Of course, the best part was after a day of hiking we opened up a bottle of wine, got in the hot tub located on the balcony, and then had a fire in one of the fireplaces after a wonderful meal at the restaurant. The staff was very helpful especially the concierge who helped with hiking trails, renting ATVs and suggested restaurants in historic Park City. We did have to wait for our room, which was not ready upon our arrival, but when we returned from dinner that evening, a wonderful box of chocolates with a note from the manager thanking us for our patience while they readied our room definitely made up for the inconvenience. This is a resort I would definitely visit again.

Our first time in Utah. We loved this hotel, the rooms were very ski lodge, but great bathroom, really comfortable bed. Food was a surprise really very good. We took the cable car a few steps away from the hotel up to the top of the mountain and hiked down, it was a really lovely stay sadly for only one night. The staff were very helpful and very courteous. Gym was ok, pool looked nice, sadly we didn't have time to use the spa. We will return next year with our teen kids who will just love it, the mountain biking especially looked great fun and the close proximity of the hotel to all the available sports was really good.

I was there for business meetings and wish I had more time to enjoy the hotel and all of its services. The service staff, restaurant, and spa are amazing. I am already planning on coming back with family.

Make time to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The deck at the main lodge is a wonderful spot to order a drink and sit and read. If you have a room with a kitchen make sure to stock up for your stay. In-room and on-site dining are good, but you have to take the free shuttle or drive into town to get to a store or other dining options.

Room Tip: The Luxury Suite is a large one bedroom with full kitchen, two bath and murphy bed. Great for small...

I stayed her for a work trip to check out the hotel for a retreat I am planning. The location, service, and food are excellent. We have selected the hotel and look forward to another visit.

We wouldn't have been surprised if we were charged extra to use the elevator. There is a lack of sophistication in this hotel's desire to grab hold of your cash at every possible opportunity. The facilities are great - no complaints about the pool, spa and the setting. The staff feel a little subdued - as if they had just been told they were getting a pay cut. Park City in the summer is dead.
