Was really nice, had all the amenities of A 4 star resort. Short walk to main street and the town chairlift... Will stay there again, rooms were clean and quiet, views were stunning, if you're interested in staying in Park City, I strongly recommend this place

My wife and I, Just got back from a week at "The Summit" and the thing we WANTED MOST! WAS QUITE! And The Marriott Summit delivered!!!

The room was VERY clean and everything worked!!! It was more than we expected! The location was WONDERFUL! We were right next to the silver creek. Really nice for long walks or bike rides. there was a awesome trail head right across the street also and walking distance to so many restaurants and bars in fact way to many to mention. I'm not a big writer. But in short. This place was CLEAN,QUITE AND BEAUTIFUL!!! Go ahead and book it!!! We cant wait to go back soon!!!

Room Tip: we had a high floor.....there is only 4 floors. and we had a room on the 4th floor.....very nice and...

I stayed here just one night on a quick business trip but had a terrific experience. The front desk check-in staff were extremely friendly and were able to check us in to our two rooms even though we were a couple of hours early. They also recommended a great restaurant for breakfast, The Eating Establishment, which was awesome.

The room itself was very comfortable and spacious (especially for the great rate we got) with a fairly large bathroom and a great little kitchen area with a table, microwave, fridge and cabinet full of dishes. The rooms are spread out into separate villas, so my business companion and I were in separate buildings, but it was no bother at all. The bed was comfortable, but I did have trouble sleeping on the fluffy pillows (although I almost always have trouble with hotel pillows).

The location was the reason we chose this hotel, and I couldn't have been happier with where we were - situated right on historic Main Street, across from Town Lift and several bars and restaurants. We ate lunch at The Bridge across the street, where they were very friendly and had a group watching the World Cup.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Park City and wanting to stay in the middle of the historic downtown area. It's very walkable (High West Distillery, where we had dinner, is just a couple minutes' walk away) and comfortable.

I don't know how anyone could complain about this hotel. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants of main street. We stayed in one of the smallest rooms but it was still just as large as a regular hotel room if not larger. We had a nice kitchenette with microwave and fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and a nice size also. Housekeeping did a wonderful job while we were here.

We traded our UVC timeshare into Interval International and chose this location for a Memorial Day week long vacation. After reading the reviews, I called the hotel directly to make a request for specifics (view, high floor, etc.) as indicated by the other travelers. I must admit I did receive my requests, however, it turned out since we visited during the "off season", having a room above Main Street would not have been a problem. Our room faced the courtyard which looks into the other room windows in the building across from us. We did have a peek a boo view of the mountain. Our one bedroom unit was perfect for my husband and me. If you are trying to make a decision between Summit Watch and Mountainside, this location is on Main Street within walking distance to shops, restaurants and attractions. We did book a fly fishing trip through the hotel at a reduced rate and had an excellent time. My only concern with Marriott properties (this was our third vacation using Marriott) is that although the resort has more than one hot tub, they refuse to designate one of them for ADULTS ONLY. We asked about this and were told "we can't discriminate". Are you kidding? There is nothing more romantic than sitting in the hot tub with a bunch of screaming kids in swim diapers! UGH! Needless to say, we did not use the hot tub or pool for that matter. My husband and I also signed up for the Adult Sunset Yoga Class, however, when we arrived at the designated location, there were so many screaming children running around, we just left.

Room Tip: High floors to avoid noise from guests walking around above you. Away from Deer Valley Road due to...

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Summit Watch at the end of May. I was happy that I had chosen the Summit Watch over the Mountain Side as the Summit Watch is located directly on Main Street and allowed us to walk to restaurants and shopping with out having to drive and park.

PROS:
Space- The Summit Watch Villas have a main living room with a cozy fireplace, a kitchen and 6 person dining table. Ours had 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and jacuzzi tub and the other with a queen and a pull out couch. The living room also had a pull out couch. It also has a foyer with a washer and dryer.

Well Equipped Kitchen/Laundry- We stopped at a Wal Mart on the way in a bought laundry supplies, cleaning supplies etc. but it turned out all those items were supplied in the room already which was nice. They had a 6 place settings of dishes, pots, pans, baking dishes, knives, silverware, tupperware, cutting boards, colander and many utensils. They also provided a dishwasher with soap, dish soap, dish towels, paper towels and laundry soap.

Activities- We had teenagers so they weren't interested in doing the planned activities (i.e. disney movies in the pool, crafts, board games) but we did take advantage of the great pool and 3 hot tubs, the basketball court, the shuffleboard game and the ping pong table. We also consulted the activities staff several times for recommendations for hikes and they were very helpful.

CONS:
No Housekeeping- Not that big of deal as you could request fresh towels from the front desk and more shampoo etc. but it did mean you had to make your own beds, clean your bathroom etc. or pay a fee to have it done.

Challenging Parking- The parking is in a parking garage underneath the hotel with very narrow spaces which proved to be somewhat frustrating when you were in a large SUV like we were. One time everyone had to get out before we parked because we couldn't get the doors open once we were in the space!

All in all, the Summit Watch is a lovely hotel right in the heart of Park City that will make your family feel right at home while you are on vacation!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the plaza and not the main street are quieter.

We have a quality timeshare in Sedona AZ, and Newport CA, and we also have Marriott points, so I would say we qualify for an opinion. Our room was in the furthest building from the activity center and Main Street. It was not as nice as other timeshares we have used. Nothing was convenient. The pool was always crowded. The staff was friendly but not helpful in some areas (and some were a little condesending if we compained about something). We had a two-week stay and many things annoyed us. The air conditioning unit was freezing at any temperature we set it at, and when turned off the room was uncomfortably hot. On our 2nd week we came down and asked if we could stay in the same room but would like our room cleaned, as they charge $30/day for that service. They did make our bed and gave us clean towels but that is all they did. No new Kleenex, no toilet paper, no vacuuming. We were locked out of our room because the staff automatically shut our room off, w/o telling us right after we told them we would stay in the same room for one more week. Oh and we had to ask for a TV channel guide as they don't put any in your room. I guess a xeroxed copy is very expensive, as are the activities, they charge for some of those also. Our TV didn't work for most of the first week and the electrician said we would have to wait for DirecTV to fix it.

Bottom line is....."Marriott Summit Watch"......we don't expect a breakfast, we don't expect a daily cleaning and we don't expect free activities......but we do expect a class-A stay for what you charge and you need to up your timeshare quality. I would rather not have those silly games you have in the activity center and have some fresh towels each day or at least twice a week w/o charge. I would also like you to make sure the TV works and all other electrical units in the room before people check in. I have read a lot of complaints on this site, and they range from dirty pools to flooding toilets, poor service to not enough parking. We used to live in Park City (for 25 years), so we understand the crowds and shortage of places to stay during their busy seasons, but this is spring not winter and that is no excuse for bad service. I do not think we will stay here again. It was not worth spending our Marriott points or even trading our timeshare. And you can bet we will not recommend it to our friends who want to stay in Park City.

Room Tip: Go to the other timeshare in town, I hear it is a lot better.
