For visiting Park City in the middle of summer, during the Fourth ofJuly holiday, this hotel was the perfect pick. Located on historic Main Street it gave us walking access to all of the festivities including the all-American parade on the 4th. Although we also took excursions out of town, such as the Oakley Rodeo, being situated in town gave us a lot more freedom and flexibility with family and teenagers because we were less dependent on the car. The Marriott Summit Watch is much nicer than the photos. It is actually several buildings clustered together with access to a small plaza and all of the restaurants and shops on and around Main Street. While ths isn't a luxury hotel, it has everything you need. Our room was clean ad nicely appointed with a king bed, pull out queen sofa and a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. Very basic and somewhat compact, but really everything you need. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: My room faced the plaza instead of the road, which I liked very much.

We decided to beat the heat in Salt Lake City and stay at the Summit Watch on Friday night with our family. This was our first trip to the property, and we could not have been more pleased. We received a very warm welcome from the front desk, and they answered all of our questions completely. I had requested a location near the pool, since we had our two kids with us, and we stayed in a villa just feet away from the swimming area. The building itself was very well kept and clean. Our villa was just as we had hoped, and extremely comfortable. The swimming pool / activity center was the real winner for us, as we were taking this trip for quality family time. I could not have asked for more.

This was our second stay at Summit Watch--previously about 6 years ago. We had a lovely two-bedroom unit, facing the inner side of the resort. The rooms (and elevators and hallways) were spotlessly clean. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and I loved the sheets! They've switched to a new housekeeping program--pay a fee for service if you want it during your stay. My husband and I are neat people--don't need anyone tidying up after us--so it worked out very well. I also appreciate the free parking--no daily resort fees. If you like to bike, you'll be happy with the easy access to paved paths. My only disappointment is the size and location of the fitness center--a small room off the garage. One more thing: Each and every interaction with a Marriott's employee was a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room...

This hotel is located in a great spot - it's on Main Street so it's easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and nightlife. That's good and bad - our room faced Main Street, and while we enjoyed the view, the noise at night gets pretty loud. The underground parking was trouble-free and convenient. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and enjoyed it. There is a lovely fireplace, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. While not luxurious, it was close. The fitness center is one of the best I've seen in a hotel - a good assortment of cardio and weights, as well as dressing rooms and complimentary headphones. We did have a bit of a wait to check in, but the concierge recommended a nice restaurant for dinner while we waited so it worked out fine.

Room Tip: Be prepared for loud music/bar noises/sounds of revelry if you stay on the Main St side. If you wan...

Having gone to Vegas after staying at the Marriott's Summit Watch and not having such a great experience (see review for Aliante Station Hotel), the Marriott experience stood out even more as an exceptional place to stay for a family while in Park City.

Positives:
- Outdoor basketball court was great for playing games with nephews and in-laws.
- Game room was perfect for the variety of ages we had at our family reunion. With 27 of us, ranging from ages 2 to 72 there was something for all of us: board games, chess, Wii, craft activities, horseshoe pit and shoes, basketballs, flat screen TVs with NBA, soccer, MLB games playing for bored chaperones..=)
- Indoor/Outdoor pools and jacuzzis. Fantastic fun for the kids and adults. When it got a little breezy or cool, just go inside and keep swimming!
- Hiking trails near the hotel.
- Did I mention the horseshoe pit?
- Mainstreet Park City steps away.
- Onsite parking at only $5 a day.
- Large living spaces with open kitchens, fireplace, dining space, pull out beds, window knooks where small kids can sleep at night, jacuzzi tub, multiple sinks so you don't bother the person showering, and plenty of flatware and silverware for whatever needs you may have.

Negatives:

- You only get one free parking pass for each room so if you are sharing rooms for a family reunion, someone is out $5 a day for a parking pass. Management wouldn't budge at all on this...=(
- Ice is only on the 2nd floor. What's up with that?
- Fireplace isn't really for heat. Only for show.

But, other than these few negatives, our stay was great and nearly every need was met.

Have no fear and stay here.

Room Tip: We stayed in 4309 and 4311 and the rest of our family stayed on the 3rd floor in Building 4 as well...

This was a very nice property in the middle of Park City, so the location was excellent where everything in Park City was pretty much just walking distance. The room was smaller than I would have expected but I guess the thought is that you enjoy the majority of your time OUTSIDE the room and just crash in your room. Parking is adequate and the room was quite clean. The hotel staff was very good in answering questions and being helpful.

Room Tip: location was great, everything in park city was within walking distance

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at Marriott's Summit Watch. We had units 4311 and 4312, facing the plaza in Lodge building. This is the building where concierge and check in are located. The two units are attached. The larger unit had kitchen, living room, master bedroom with jetted tub and bathroom with shower. The bathroom could be entered from master bedroom or from "hall" which makes it convenient if someone is sleeping on the pull down sofa bed in living room. The other unit had king bed, mini "kitchen" and bath with tub as well as pull down sofa bed.
Location of Summit Watch is excellent as it is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The down side is that none of the units have balconies. There is seating in the public plaza. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
We did the Temple Square excursion which was well worth the $15. There are many child-oriented activities. We also did the s'mores one night. They provided the makings for one s'more and we made them over one of the fire pits in the public area.
We stayed there June 3-10. June 3-7, Park City was almost ghost-town with very free people. It came alive on the 8th. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but also enjoyed it when the town become more lively.
June 10th, the Park Silly Market started. This is a street fair which takes place on Sundays right outside the Summit Watch. Lots of vendors with hand made items. Fun!

There are grills available for use as well as activity center. The pool is indoors.

Room Tip: Request room facing plaza.
