“The Perfect Spot for a Park City Family Ski Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2011 via mobile

Marriott's Summit Watch was our choice for a family ski trip and we were very pleased. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. This basically consisted of a one room master suite with separate kitchen and living area adjoined with a master studio that had a kitchenette. The main entry has a foyer which adjoined a washer/dryer vestibule through which you can access a shower/toilet/vanity of the master. A second door from that space enters the master bedroom and there is a second vanity and whirlpool jacuzzi tub in the room. I mention all this because it's perfect for an early riser to get ready and leave without ever disturbing the master bed. Very nice and convenient.

The living area has a nice fireplace and sitting area with a sofa and chair for TV watching, if you like. The kitchen is very nicely appointed with a 6 place dining table.

The property is a collection of mixed use buildings right in downtown with many restaurants and shops very close. We rented skis right there and the property is adjoined to the town lift by a walkbridge on the same level. No stairs to climb. Very very convenient for ski in, ski out. Also multiple bus stops in the immediate area to access the resort if Town Lift is down.

You are right in downtown for après ski activities, as well. Probably a dozen or more great restaurants and many shops and galleries. By the way, the property's pool/hot tub facilities were just 200 paces from our building which was the furthest on the property. Really just fine and the facilities are great.

For us, this was the ideal, all in one spot to stay. Highly recommend it.

The Summit Watch Marriot vacation resort was wonderfully convenient in location , with a full range of activities for young and old and very nice facilities. I had my my daughter, son and wife ( in 30's) and 4 yr old grandson and we all had a great time. The childrens activities were wonderful and the indoor/outdoor pool and 4 hot tubs were a delight to use. The spacious underground parking would be a huge asset in more snowy and colder times. We were there for 8 days over Thanksgiving N0v 24th thru Dec 2nd and with little snow and few open slopes, being adjacent to the charming and fun old Park City Main Street was ideal for walking , shopping , dining and more.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the side facing the main road on up to Deer Valley to reduce the night...

Resort and accommodations were just like their internet pictures. No surprises upon arrival. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We used the underground parking that was spacious and much warmer then the outside winter temperature (you have to pay to park on Main Street so use the garage). An elevator took us up to the main lobby or to the floor our unit was on. Nice big carts are available to haul your luggage, food, skii equipment, etc. up to your unit (carts are located in the garage area). Our two bedroom unit was spacious and comfortable, especially the king size beds and could have easily slept eight (2 king size beds, 1 queen sleeper sofa and 1 double sofa). A full kitchen was stocked with everything but food.
The master bedroom had a two person jacuzzi tub that takes awhile to fill but very relaxing. Also, there are several outdoor jacuzzis and a heated indoor/outdoor pool for swimming or relaxing (be sure use the plastic cups provided in your unit if you take anthing to drink) and changing rooms with showers, lockers and towels (soap, conditioner and shampoo dispensers in the shower are also provided) with attendent on duty for assistance. Don't forget your room key card to get in to the pool/spa area.
There are ski shops, souvenir shops, restaurants and other businesses outside off the first floor for easy access as well as the Park City main street businesses, all within a short walking distance. Accross the street via an over the street bridgewalk is the Town Ski Lift for easy access to the Park City Ski Resort or shuttle buses that can take you other places.
Park City has plenty of ski and other shops as well as restaurants for what seems like all over the place, especially if you are driving (Okay the important stuff: Starbucks is located on State Hwy 224 near Deer Valley Drive but too far to walk).
If you are snow skiing like us, besides Park City there is Deer Valley and The Canyons ski resorts a short distance away (+/- 3 miles) and other ski areas such as Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton around 35 miles away via Salt Lake City and up some other canyons.
We were very pleased with the accommodations. The staff was pleasant and very responsive to our needs. Given the chance, I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Some units back up to Deer Valley Road so a little road noise is possible although the units still s...

We went with another couple for a week. The location is wonderful, central to great restaurants within walking distance, hiking, or relaxing at Summit Watch. The staff was very helpful. This was our second time there, and we love the early fall in Park City!

Room Tip: Be careful about rooms right over the bar if you like to sleep with your window open.

My husband and I as well as a visiting friend from Germany requested a 2 bedroom handicap unit for 5 days and found everything as requested and to our satisfaction. Great rooms, ample underground parking, fully stocked kitchen etc. etc. Unfortunately the first night after arrival,I became quite ill and had to be transported to the ER at Park City Hospital. The front desk clerk contacted the ambulance for us and assisted in their arrival. (A special THANKS to the Park City Police and Fire Department !).. A transfer was necessary due to the severity of my illness to Salt Lake, where I spend the rest plus a few extra days of my vacation. My husband and friend were offered additional nights in the same rooms at a reduced rate, thus making it easier for them to remain at one place rather than moving to other hotels. A great place for a fall vacation!

Stayed here for one night during thr low season on my way up to Boise. It was a great chance to check out Park City without the crowds. Got a one bedroom villa for $129/nt. Location is excellent. Right off main street in the middle of town. There is an underground parking garage for the hotel and nearby businesses.

Since this is a Marriott Vacation property you have to sacrifice on some of the normal hotel ammenitie like restaurant/bar, etc. But there are plenty of options within walking distance.

The one bedroom villa was huge! My wife and I couldn't believe how big it was. Full kitchen, living room w/fireplace, dining room, laundry, big bathroom, jacuzzi tub and master suite. This could easily sleep 4 people using the pull out couch. They only downside we found was the noise factor. We felt that Main Street was a bit noisy with traffic and people out late at bars. I can't imagine how loud it must get dueing peak season. Also, the walls and ceilings are paper thin. Again, can't imagine how annoying that must get when the hotel is full during peak season. All in all a great stay in Park City, they were even filming a Traveler's Insurance commerical with that dog right outside the hotel!

Room Tip: Try for a high floor and away from Main Street. Also, go for the one bedroom villa!

I choose to stay one night in Park City to check it out and choose this property for two reasons. First, I am Platinum with Marriott and second, I wanted something right downtown. First off, this is a vacation property so there is no restaurant/bar like a normal Marriott. With that being said you are right in the middle of a huge assortment of eating and drinking establishments. For that reason alone I loved it. The room they put me in was awesome, a 2 bedroom suite that was huge. The staff was great. If I ever come to Park city to ski I would consider this location without a doubt. Right in the center of everything and a chairlift right across the street. I really liked this hotel.
