“Perfect for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

I was a little hesitent about spending the money for this after reading the reviews and warned my husband ahead of time. We really were doing it for my 10 year old daughter who loves horses. We actually were very pleasantly surprised! We went up on a VERY cold New Year's Eve and had such a fun time. The sleighs were beautiful, the horses grand and everyone was excited to see them coming down the mountain to pick us up. We loved our driver and he went out of his way to engage all of the kids. When we arrived at the lodge it was so cozy with friendly greetings by all of the people who worked there. We thought the food was very good. My husband and daughter had prime rib and I had a wonderful fried trout. There was music, and lots of fun happy people around us. The only people that didn't seem to be enjoying it were a table of 20 somethings who didn't look up from their phones all night. Yes, it is expensive but if you are looking for something fun and unique to do as a family we would recommend the Snowed Inn any day!

“Sleigh Ride and Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2011

The sleigh ride up the slopes to this little restaurant was perfect! Short ride, but beautiful horses and friendly drivers. Large sleighs seat 15. The dinner was yummy and served in a fun family style.

It is a pricy experience, but well worth it!

“okay dinner ride...but definitely overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2011

snowed inn sleigh ride was a pretty good time with very friendly staff, but for the price, we really expected a little more in the way of entertainment and meal quality. the horses were great and the kids got to sit on them for a little bit before we took off from the base lift at park city mountain resort. we got in the sleigh and draped ourselves with a blanket that was covered in horse hairs. a few people started sneezing pretty badly right away. the ride up was not as fun as i thought it was going to be. we really went very slow and the scenery--although beautiful--was just the view from the ski slopes. i guess i imagined a more out-in-nature sleigh ride, but you just go up the slope and skiers are coming down around you, so it wasn't that idyllic.

once you get there, the actual dining room is rustic and cozy, and the staff is friendly, but the entertainment is just a B-level country street performer in my opinion. we tried the trout and the prime, and the trout is probably the best dish on the menu. but you really get half table service because while a waitress brings you drinks, to get your appetizer and your entree you walk up and stand in a line cafeteria style. pretty lame.

after dinner and a simple ice cream dessert, you go back down the same ski slope you came up in the horse hair covered blanket. it's not a bad experience, and we enjoyed it while we were there, but it's probably not something i would recommend or repeat.

“Very short sleigh ride, tasty food, extremely overpriced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2011

We decided to try this sleigh ride and dinner package. W expected a scenic sleigh ride through a country or forest type setting. Instead it was a short ride part way up an actual ski slope. We could have easily walked the distance up the hill to the restaurant. Even if you include the ride back down, it was not 25 minutes. For the cost, we expected to be served dinner. Instead it was cafeteria style...we had to line up to get soup and then the main course. And, they added 18 percent gratuity on the bill automatically. On top of that, there are many signs that said "tips appreciated". (in the sleigh and in the restaurant). They did offer a five dollar discount if we paid in cash. Our bill came to 95 dollars per person. Although the food was good, it was not worth that kind of money. We left feeling ripped off.

Cost me for four people (dinner and sleigh ride) $400. What a tourist trap. It's not just the cost, it's just such a tourist trap. Short sleighride up a short ski hill. Total waste.
