“Good access to Park City snow resorts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2007

I spent a week at the Best Western in Kimball Junction. It is located near the interstate and 4 miles from Park City.
They run a convenient shuttle to ths slopes and to night life. City bus provides a service but is less convenient.
Area is developed with malls and stores including a discount mall.
Rooms are average, pool is good.
Breakfast is cold items but adequate.
Prices are better than in Park City.

A total of four of us stayed at Best Western Landmark Inn for 4 days. We enjoyed our stay there. The workers were very friendly and helpful & the hotel in general was very clean.

Rooms : we were "upgraded" to a deluxe double room. It didn't seem much bigger than a standard room, however we had an extra sink plus a microwave and fridge which was nice. The room & bathroom were clean. The on/off button on the tv didn't work as well as the clock radio. But those were minor things we could live without. It didn't feel too crowded in the room, even though we had 3 snowboards, 4 sets of boots and 2 small suitcases. They did have a big closet to hang all the bulky jackets.

Location : is right off the freeway (I believe it's the 80). There is an Arby's, Mcdonald's and Ruby Tuesday in the area. The outlet stores are right down the street and Wal-mart is right across the road. The Canyons resort and 2002 Olympic site is a short drive away. Downtown Park City is about 5-10 mins away, depending on traffic.

Hotel : I really don't have any complaints about the hotel. We used their jacuzzi which was nice after a long day of being out in the chilly snow. They also have a small pool. The lobby is very nice, especially sitting in front of the fire. They do have a Continental breakfast which consists of cereal, bagel, muffins, toast and coffee/OJ/hot chocolate. It was okay, at least it's something to hold you over until lunch. They also have a very small arcade (maybe 6 games) downstairs. They have signs for JB's restaurant but it's closed. There is a 24-hour convenience store in the lobby. It's a bit pricey so it's nice to have the Wal-mart close by!

All in all, I would recommend this hotel. I would also recommend, if you are not renting a car, to use Park City Transportation. It was a great service, especially if you get the Passport.

it was the cheapest we could find in park city utah. everywhere else was more expensive. the breakfast (it was about 3 years ago when we visited there) was great, i mean, "continental breakfast" with scrambled eggs? it was great and helped us save more $$$ on food. across the street there was a wal-mart so it's good...service is good. room is good and clean. although i may wanna try out other places next time we visit there (probably never) i would strongly recommend my friends to stay there.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It is off the beaten path a little, but still just a quick drive to all the ski resorts (10 min to the closest - Canyons). The hotel has a shuttle service that everyone uses to take you to the ski resorts. It was very convenient. It also picks you up in the afternoon from the resorts. Then in the evenings a van is available to take you up town to Main Street. It was nice to have the transportation. Plus, we had a very helpful driver, Koze, who told us all the good places to eat and the best souvenir shops!

We had a deluxe room and it was very spacious, just enough room to feel like you weren't cramped up in a hotel room. The free continental breakfast was nice. Front desk was very helpful! We got a great deal on a ski package from them; I worked with Michelle who was great to work with arranging all the details. They even arranged transportation to pick us up/drop us off at the airport.

We would definitely go back again. It is a little pricey for a Best Western, but not compared to the lodging closer to the resorts. This was about as close as you would get and not pay over $200 a night.

It was a very pleasant stay, with every day free fresh baked cookies, newspaper and tea or coffee. Shopping area close by (Walmart, restaurants and oulet center). Free bus rides to mountain resort and main street, free hotel shuttle to mountain resort and canyons. Nice and clean rooms.

Only minor points:
very simple breakfast
our window couldn' t open
They have to dump the awful JB restaurant (stinky place, bad breakfast/diner)

We will return for sure.

We stayed here for 6 nights. Didn't spend much time in the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was adequate and did the job for us. Only complaint was the dryers didn't dry our clothes very good even after 1 1/2 hours they still weren't dry...other guests I talked to had the same complaint about the dryers.

Good for families. Room was noisy. Kristin at front desk was not accomodating at all. Several times told us nothing else was available. We stuck it out for 5 days. Had trouble sleeping due to family above us running around a lot. Good family oriented game room and pool area. Not sure we will stay there again. Housekeeping never left enough towels. Had to call every day for more. Okay place if you don't mind the noise.
