“Wonderful choice in Park City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

Stayed off-season, just before July 4. What a wonderful option. For less than the price of a budget hotel we had two-room suite with a kitchen that had more equipment in it than mine at home. Saved a ton eating breakfast in and making sandwiches for lunch. The living/dining room was great when I got up early and the wife slept in. Even the workout room was well-equipped. Comfiest hotel bed I've ever slept in too.

Very centrally located for my needs, and nice and cool up in the mountains (vs Salt Lake). Also, you can probably sneak into the nice pool at the hotel just up the hill.

Great hotel for the value with minor thingsssss.
PROS: 1 BR Suite...lovely décor ... stocked kitchen...2 full baths....down and upstairs living area...2 fireplaces....Great sauna....ok steam room....nice exercise area

CONS: the carpet in the hotel was horribly stained...especially in the suite...NO concierge...No Bellman...bus stop for return trips is at least a 20 minute wait..the stop is not on the main line....the bus comes but not as often as the main line buses...in addition it stops running earlier than the rest....therefore you will have to hike up the hill from the transit by the Seven Eleven store. Pillows on the bed HORRIBLE unless you like soft soft soft.

Overall.....Silverado Lodge is a good place to stay.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. Lots of amenities, like the washer machine (with Tide detergent included) in each room (it's not inside the room, it's located right before you walk in). This hotel is meant for relaxation and rest, hallways are always very quiet. A word of advice: you might want to bring a humidifier with you if you're not used to the dry climate, otherwise you can have a hard time sleeping.

The room was large and had a lot of space. The parking was great and overall a wonderful space. The pillows were terrible and the water pressure was horrendous. It was one of the worst showers I had used and took way too long to get hot water, which meant a lot of water wasted.

I stayed at the Silverado Lodge for 4 nights to attend a conference at the Grand Summit Lodge. My room was very comfortable. The king sized bed had a firm mattress and a selection of pillows, there was a mini fridge and in-room coffee maker. The shower was granite with glass door; some of my colleagues had deep tubs in their rooms. My room had a large balcony with two chairs and a table, overlooking the courtyard and pool area, but also with a view of a bit of the mountainside, which was very nice in the morning.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Some of my colleagues had issues with their rooms -- one the AC was not working another wanted a tub -- and the staff was able to quickly move them to new rooms.

The walls seemed very thin, so if the hotel was full I can imagine it might get fairly loud. As it was I just had one person in the room next to me but I heard his entire phone conversation through the wall one morning. My only other "complaint" is really more of a suggestion: the sliding glass door to the patio has a heavy curtain, so you can either have sunlight in the room or privacy, but not both. A sheer curtain underneath would allow natural light into the room with out feeling like you're on display whenever the curtain is open.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and hope the conference is held here again next year!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony, or one with a tub. They don't seem to have both.

The hotel is nice by many counts. But we had some problems. The hot tub was closed for repairs but they didn't tell us this when we booked. The A/C blew only hot air in one of our rooms and it got up to almost 80 degrees in there! The maintenance men came and spent 2 hours on it while we were in the room that evening. They still didn't get it fixed and offered to have our large family switch rooms at 10:45 pm. No way! So we turned off the A/C unit completely that night.

Stayed 4 nights at Silverado lodge - 4 adults, 2 kids in a 2BR suite. Plenty of room for everyone. Rooms were nice and comfortable, staff was excellent, location was great. Did not eat at the restaurant at Silverado, but there are plenty of places to eat around Canyons. We will definitely be back.
