“Park City business trip for an art exhibition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

April Inn was a very charming condo right on main street with easy access to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Room #7 had a nice view of an old school house with beautiful architecture sitting on the mountain side. Also liked the walkout balcony. Close parking may be challenging to find, so you may need to walk a little. There are some stairs to climb, and finding it may be a little tricky at first. It is best to find it by the address #. You may miss the access door if you are looking for signage. I highly recommend it though for the value. Eric Allred, the manager provided excellent customer service with great advice on attractions, dinning, sight seeing locations in the area. You can tell he loves the service industry and ensuring his customers have an enjoyable experience while visiting ... a pleasure to work with. Very refreshing.

Room Tip: Rooms on the mountain side are quiet ... the street side has more of a view and sounds of the nightl...

I loved this place - full of character. It's right in the middle of Main Street - convenient for the theatre, restaurants (loads of them - make sure you visit the Deli on Main Street for breakfast), galleries, shops and the brewhouse.

The staff are very helpful, especially Eric who is a total hero.

Room had a gas fireplace, which was perfect when it was cool outside. Note, however, that the rooms do not have air conditioning. Even in October, it was pretty warm, but there is a fan.

Room Tip: If the idea of the noise from the Main Street might bother you, ask for a room at the back (odd numb...

For a local or an out-of-towner, the April Inn fits the bill. With its location about the middle of Main Street, it is perfect to drop in and out of for your stays activities. Might be a little tricky getting there the first time, given there is one small door on Main Street which then leads you above all the shops to the rooms. I've stayed there a few times know and overall it was a pleasant experience.

The service was horrible, bring disinfectant, furniture looks like it came from a boys Scout camp, Park City is in the middle of a heat wave - oh and did I mention no air conditioning. There is a floor fan that looks like it comes from pre walmart era, it blows almost no air but sounds like a world war 1 bomber with several slugs in the engine. There is only 1 window that opens to the outside so no chance of a breeze. On the positive side, the toilet seems to work and it is on main street. Oh, did we mention no parking.

Thank you so much for choosing the April Inn on Main Street in beautiful Park City Utah! I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay and had so many issues that I was unaware of until I read your review here.
The average high for the week you stayed was 89 degrees F. This is far from a heat wave, however as the April Inn does not have air conditioning it can feel that way at times. The saving grace of not having AC in July is that it still cools off to the lower 50s when the sun sets. We have placed 2 floor fans in each condo to get the air circulating and I have added 2 more industrial fans in the hallway to accomplish more air flow throughout the entire building. It does keep the temperature down by around 15 degrees.
There is free parking for the April Inn and there is also an option to pay for parking in an underground garage if you so choose. Both lots are within 5 minutes of the April Inn by foot and extremely convenient considering there is no parking allowed on Main Street overnight.
I have responded to negative reviews in the past and I have said time and time again to please contact management if there is any issue with your condo. It is so much easier for me to fix the problem rather than to not hear anything until I read your review. I don't care how miniscule it seems, I will do whatever it takes to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This includes buying new fans that don't sound like B-1 Bombers, extra padding for the sofa sleepers, extra towels, soap, anything you need I will do my best to provide it and my staff is fully committed to this mantra as well. Read all the reviews left by past guests and you will find that this review is part of a very small group of reviews from people that actually may indeed hate themselves.

We recently stayed two nights in a small condo here. The location was excellent, right on old Main Street and very near shops and restaurants. Parking in general along Main Street is a bit of a hassle, and it's no different here. Fortunately the person at the Caledonian Hotel, where you go to check in gave us a free voucher for two days parking at the Hotel. The room was nice with the bedroom on a second floor. If one needs to go to the washroom one has to go down a set of stairs from the bedroom. There is also a small balcony on the second floor although ours pointed away from main street. I suggest you ask for an even numbered room when you reserve if you want a balcony overlooking Main, all units are second floor so you have to take your bags up one level in order to reach the first floor of the unit. There was no air conditioning in the unit where we stayed, but there were a couple fans that helped some. It is a pretty nice place in a great location but I think we will stay elsewhere when we go back, probably at the Caledonian Hotel.

Room Tip: If you have the need of going to the washroom during the night you might want to look elsewhere as t...

I have stayed at the april inn a number of times and have always been happy with my stay. I stayed 3 nights in June and my only complaint is that the rooms need air conditioning. The front desk staff is great and location is even greater. would recommend the april inn to anyone.

My girlfriends and I stayed at The April Inn over my birthday on Saturday night. Upon checking in, Eric gave better service than we ever expected.

Room Tip: Great location, very accommodating front desk.
