“Great place to stay...quiet in off season.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

Nice place to sleep, but do not recommend a visit late October. The town and ski resorts are in shut down mode. No gondolas running or alpine slides. All quiet waiting for ski season to begin. Not too much to do.

The Miners Club does not have a full restaurant so I did not rate it. This is a beautiful facility but they need to step up their maintenance. Simple things like sweeping the entrances, cleanliness of condo's need to be improved. It is very quiet and the condos are beautifully appointed. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Overall a nice place to stay!

If you are skiing the Canyons, this resort is perfect - a short walk to the Waldorf Gondola. We exchanged into the Miner's Club through RCI. Through two phone calls prior to our visit, I was assured that the sleeping configurations of the unit to which we were assigned would meet our needs, and it would be very easy to reconfigure if necessary. I was also told they made a note on our reservation "do not move". Check-in was a mess, they had moved us and we did not have the beds promised. We were told there was no other unit to move into and they could not move another bed into our unit even though there was ample space. We basically refused to move into the unit and worked our way up the chain of command until another unit magically became available. While waiting, another guest came to the desk to complain that her unitl seemed to be "missing a bed". In our three bedroom for nine the configuration was a follows - two bedrooms on the lower level (one queen, two twins) and a sleep sofa in the living room. Upstairs, a loft with a sleep sofa, and one large bedroom room with a twin (very odd use of sleeping space). The sleep sofa was so uncomfortable, one adult pulled off the sofa cushions and used them as a bed on the floor instead. As mentioned by others, the bed linens are only fair quality, and light housekeeping means carelessly pulling the blankets up. A nice touch is the daily towel replacements and replenishment of paper towels, dish soap, etc. Units are not immaculate - blinds very dusty, floor dirty, etc.
We loved the pool and hot tub. The ski locker area is convenient and spacious - they gave us two lockers which easily held equipment for 8. It was nice to ba able to park one of the vehicles indoors (the other outside).
We stayed during an unseasonably warm spell. The temperature of the unit was way too hot. It was explained that the boiler was not off. We turned off all of the thermostats and slept with the windows and balcony doors open every night. The poor occupants upstairs were way too warm to sleep comfortably, and we were offered a box fan for that area.
Although we did not use it, the PC shuttle can be accessed by a walk down the hill to the 7-11 store.
We enjoyed the welcome reception and looked forward to hearing more about the points system used by the Raintree Resorts, but were never contacted as promised (we found this strange since one usually fights off the sharks at theses places).
A highlight of the trip was movie night in the Miner's Club media room. We rented a movie from the small store upstairs, ordered out for pizza delivery, and had a wonderful evening. Great space!
We really loved the cental location and Park City in general. The Waldorf Golden Door Spa is across the street (although very overpriced in our opinion). We had massages there and they were nothing special; the facilities are nice.
I gave the Miner's Club a Very Good score for location and amenities, which are actually excellent. The unit, check-in experience, temperature and housekeeping were down points, but we would stay here again.
(The page will not accept a low score for cleanliness and sleep quality!!!????)

Room Tip: The from (entrance side) has lovely views of the mountain; the backside has views of the pool and go...

Have stayed at Miner's Club for skiing two years running in a 4bdrm unit; I agree with others it's starting to show age in the room carpets and bedspreads/blankets. One year there were 8 separate beds plus sleepsofa; this year it was only 6 beds +sofa in the same "sleeps 10" reservation - surprise! But the convenience/value of in-suite cooking, awesome location next to the Canyons, and overall quiet atmosphere will keep me returning. Our group makes all our meals, staff was super helpful when we needed extra cooking dishes, humidifier or robes. But daily housekeeping is minimal, no vacuuming, it's focused on trash, sink and towels for a week's stay. I don't expect fancy from this type of a trip; its a huge bargain for Raintree Club members so we aren't paying top dollar. Very nice grocery options quite close; took me 27 minutes to get to SLC airport exit from Miners Club in rental car - so quick!

The Miners Club is great ,,,,, except that they have NO SHUTTLE!!!
Come on, put a guy in a van and let him shuttle people around town, to the 7 11 etc., for tips.
I was embarrassed after raving about this place and bring friends there to have them complain about having to walk a long way down to that transit center .... will not be back until there is a shuttle service.

My family and I stayed at the Miner's club for 5 days in a 4 bedroom unit. The Miner's club is conveniently located near a gondola lift for a fast ride to the Canyon's main ski lifts. It is also next door to the Waldorf Astoria if you want a higher end meal, spa treatment etc. The personnel at the Miner's Club were uniformly nice and helpful. There were 3 small maintenance issues which were taken care expeditiously. I would prefer better housecleaning but the service was adequate, beds were made, towels replaced, kitchen wiped down. The restaurant in the Club was adequate for the one dinner we ordered for our children.
The problems - Cleaning - oven was not clean, rugs were not vacuumed daily. Noise - heating fans were so noisy that we did not use them at night, Our unit was near a 'maintenance closet', which was loud and caused vibration in the unit- for example, the bannister shook. The mattress pads were poor quality and would not stay on the mattresses, sheets were of lower quality, pillows were very thin. The Miner's Club is 6 years old and looks older. It is apparent that it is not being maintained as it should.

Room Tip: Avoid 4 bedroom suites on the 4th floor. Both bedrooms on the upper floor are dormered and have low...

We booked our time share here for skiing in January 2012. We love the incredibly short commute (40 min) from the SLC airport. At the time we went, snow was unusually scarce, but snow making equipment made up for it and we skiied to our heart's delight. The staff were friendly. We enjoyed the weekly hospitality hour. Food is available in house and also restaurants are close by. Skiing at Canyos is very accessible due to the gondola near the entrance of Miners Club. Park City and Deer Valley are just a short drive away and also easily accessible. We ate at some great restaurants in Deer Valley and environs (separate reviews) while here. Love the low key atmosphere at Canyons. Had a couple of "Red Tail" hot chocolates (cinnamon and cayenne) while there--yum!
Only complaint about Miners Club was the very late room housekeeping. We left the room at 8 or 9am each day; returned about 4 or 4:30pm. The housekeeping staff were just getting there--made it less friendly for plopping down and shedding the ski clothes when we hit the door.
Everything was clean; kitchen was well-equipped. We had everything we needed. Great stay.
