If you are skiing the Canyons, this resort is perfect - a short walk to the Waldorf Gondola. We exchanged into the Miner's Club through RCI. Through two phone calls prior to our visit, I was assured that the sleeping configurations of the unit to which we were assigned would meet our needs, and it would be very easy to reconfigure if necessary. I was also told they made a note on our reservation "do not move". Check-in was a mess, they had moved us and we did not have the beds promised. We were told there was no other unit to move into and they could not move another bed into our unit even though there was ample space. We basically refused to move into the unit and worked our way up the chain of command until another unit magically became available. While waiting, another guest came to the desk to complain that her unitl seemed to be "missing a bed". In our three bedroom for nine the configuration was a follows - two bedrooms on the lower level (one queen, two twins) and a sleep sofa in the living room. Upstairs, a loft with a sleep sofa, and one large bedroom room with a twin (very odd use of sleeping space). The sleep sofa was so uncomfortable, one adult pulled off the sofa cushions and used them as a bed on the floor instead. As mentioned by others, the bed linens are only fair quality, and light housekeeping means carelessly pulling the blankets up. A nice touch is the daily towel replacements and replenishment of paper towels, dish soap, etc. Units are not immaculate - blinds very dusty, floor dirty, etc.
We loved the pool and hot tub. The ski locker area is convenient and spacious - they gave us two lockers which easily held equipment for 8. It was nice to ba able to park one of the vehicles indoors (the other outside).
We stayed during an unseasonably warm spell. The temperature of the unit was way too hot. It was explained that the boiler was not off. We turned off all of the thermostats and slept with the windows and balcony doors open every night. The poor occupants upstairs were way too warm to sleep comfortably, and we were offered a box fan for that area.
Although we did not use it, the PC shuttle can be accessed by a walk down the hill to the 7-11 store.
We enjoyed the welcome reception and looked forward to hearing more about the points system used by the Raintree Resorts, but were never contacted as promised (we found this strange since one usually fights off the sharks at theses places).
A highlight of the trip was movie night in the Miner's Club media room. We rented a movie from the small store upstairs, ordered out for pizza delivery, and had a wonderful evening. Great space!
We really loved the cental location and Park City in general. The Waldorf Golden Door Spa is across the street (although very overpriced in our opinion). We had massages there and they were nothing special; the facilities are nice.
I gave the Miner's Club a Very Good score for location and amenities, which are actually excellent. The unit, check-in experience, temperature and housekeeping were down points, but we would stay here again.
(The page will not accept a low score for cleanliness and sleep quality!!!????)
Room Tip: The from (entrance side) has lovely views of the mountain; the backside has views of the pool and go...
