“This place is awesome. The duck rocks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

My wife and I had the white shrimp and duck respectively and we were not disappointed. Both were heavenly. Recommend sitting outside when possible and don't forget the blue cheese chips and butternut squash soup, both to die for

“Amazing! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Manager was incredible! Chicken fried chicken was scrumptious! Overall the best restaurant I've ever been too! Not.only the chicken was fantastic, don't even get me started in the scallops, extremely high quality. It's a small quaint restaurant, very well managed.

Everything about purple sage was amazing. It had a very upscale feel and was very romantic. My wife and I will be returning to eat here regularly.

“Unfortunate!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Our party of 6 all adults) left Purple Sage totally unhappy with our experience. It is our opinion that service is AS IMPORTANT as the food. From the gal who first arrived at our table to fill our water glasses, to our waitress, to the male server who brought one of dinners (because we sent salmon back)...I don't think we received one smile! I tried to add a little levity to our waitress's demeanor but to no avail. Our dinners; grilled pork chop (pretty good), scallops (also pretty good) chicken fried chicken and salmon (dry) were overshadowed by lackluster service. So unfortunate. I even called the restaurant today and left a voice mail saying we had dinner there the evening before and didn't receive great service & asked for a call back. Haven't heard a peep yet..? By the way...18% gratuity was automatically added to our party of 6. We would not recommend this restaurant.

“Great local restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

The food and service were excellent. Starting with our wine orders, where our waiter encouraged us to change our selections, we were guided to a very enjoyable meal. Our favorites included the pork stew appetizer served with hot tortillas and the pear and arugula salad. We enjoyed shrimp, trout, and bison entrees. We were too full for dessert. The food is unique and we would recommend to anyone.
