During the winter (and only on Thursdays from 2:30-5PM) there is a charming European Apres Ski with live music entertainment - in the bar at the Goldener Hirsch (in Silver Lake Village (Upper Deer Valley in Park City, Utah).
Elsbeth Gugi is from Switzerland and specializes in folk songs with yodeling. She has a fantastic voice and also sings many familiar German & French songs. But Gugi's real talent is her ability to "work the room" with her multi-talented accompaniest, Kevin Scott (on accordian). Gugi and Kevin have a unique ability to get the entire room of people singing, toasting, laughing and enjoying one heck of a fun afternoon. There is no cover charge, you just have to order something to drink and some food.
I've watched Gugi and Kevin perform their Apres Ski "Music from the Mountains" for many seasons and every year they get better. If you love European traditional bar music, don't miss this event. You can drive up in your car or walk in right off the Deer Valley ski slopes (in your ski boots). Get there early or you might not get a table (they don't take reservations). Enjoy....
