“Have the Pot Roast (and add the Bacon) and Get the Tomato/Coconut Soup”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

After a full day of sightseeing and shopping in Park City, Utah Marna and I were hungry but we were kind of in between lunch and dinner. 501on Main offer their lunch menu until 5:00pm when they switch over to the dinner menu. The soup of the day was tomato coconut.Yes you heard right this is a soup that is made with coconut milk, tomatoes and basil. The combination of sweet and savory was excellent twist on my favorite kind of soup. Marna ordered a steak salad and the steak was cooked to perfection, the dressing was light and tasty. While she went a more "healthful route" I opted for the pot roast which was topped with braised onions, sauerkraut and for $2.00 extra I ordered a bacon topping. The pot roast was tender, juicy and the toppings added great flavor. As if all the above was not enough I ordered their apple pie. Often apple pie is too sweet but 501Main makes it just right, tart unsweetened apples surrounded by a sweet crumble crust. It comes with vanilla ice cream which Marna snagged.

Great food, service, atmosphere and fair prices.

“Great meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Really nice setting. Excellent service. Food is very good. Bar options are a little odd due to UT liquor laws. I ordered a double Jack on the rocks and they couldn't serve that but I could order two singles. Not a big deal just odd. This place is definately worth a visit.

“Wonderful dinner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

I was excited to be invited to a birthday celebration at 501 Main Restaurant because I had dined there a couple of times recently and the food had been really good. I was not disappointed as the birthday dinner was extraordinary. The TEMPURA SHRIMP & SPICY AIOLI appetizer was crunchy and yummy (is that a hint of vanilla I taste there?).
Loved the Veggie Risotto served in a hand-crafted crunchy potato baskets; as well as the UTAH SWEET ONION SLIVERS. The dinner for 40 was carved roast beef and a trout dish, both were very good served with nice crunchy fresh veggies and mashed potatoes.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We ordered four different meals and everyone loved their meal. I had no idea the food would be so good in a ski town. It was also relatively healthy .... except of course the fried onion appetizer ... but it was worth every calorie!

“Good choice on Main Street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Do not be fooled by the entirely pedestrian bar on ground level. This is what you see from street level and I found it not so inviting. The restaurant seating is upstairs. It is relatively small but that keeps the noise factor to a minimum. The place strives for a health conscious menu. Salads were fresh and well-prepared. A Meditteranean chiken and salmon entrees were also well executed. Reservations were honored on-time. I would not advise trying walk-in unless you enjoy a wait.
