“A secret gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Held at the Library, many smaller less publicized films are screened here...we saw Hitchcock, the FDR movie etc...a great way to spend a snowy FRI, Sat or Sunday nite...very local and fun. Bring your own container and popcorn is a $1

“Great Films”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

The Park City Film series is the locals Indy film spot. Well of course Sundance is the key, but this little organization screens films at the Library which is one of the top spots to see a film during Sundance. Its a nice spot to see a film and they pick some great ones. Go

“Great Films with Locals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

When you see a Park City Film Series Film you will be sitting with 85% locals. If you live in Park City you can't help but know many people in the audience. If you are visiting, you are in for a treat since you will buy popcorn from a volunteer and will see a guaranteed hand picked great movie whether it is from Sundance or is a movie that never made it to big distribution. The PC Film Series is a local treasure. Only negative is they go on hiatus during the summer but hey...everyone needs to take a break...right?

“Nice local cheap movie outlet for indie flicks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Went on a recent Sat night and it was packed. It"s in the library and definitely has a local homegrown feel. But its a legit movie screen and sound system. nice if you are looking to get out of some nasty weather. Tip: bring your own bowl and get a discount on the popcorn!

“Great Indie Films and Bottomless Bowl of Popcorn!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

The volunteers at Park City Film Series do a terrific job of selecting films for screening. They are clearly a vibrant part of the community and are devoted to sharing quality films with the local area.

In addition to their regular weekend screenings (usually one film is screened each night of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) they offer special screenings of interest to the area population and this season they added a free children's series at well.

Clearly the Sundance Film Festival fuels a lot of interest among locals, and serves as a great source of films and information.

While ticket prices are not bargain-basement (roughly about $8 per ticket for most films) you are treated well and local flavor abounds, including door prize drawings before most screenings (there has always been one when we've gone).

The concessions are very generous. A local coffee company provides FREE coffee, and it's quite good. You can buy popcorn for about $3 a bowl, but it's bottomless--just come back and get a refill. To help save the environment, you may also bring your own bowl, or purchase a reusable one from PCFS.

The library facility is nice and comfortable with generally good visibility.I am quite vertically challenged, so that's always a very important issue for me.

Most important, though, is the quality of films they offer. Rarely do they disappoint, and we've been able to see some great films we couldn't get into during Sundance.

We actually will drive up from Salt Lake City, spend a weekend afternoon exploring outdoors nearby, have dinner and then take in a movie. Fun date night for us.

Viewing indie films will really get you hooked, and we actually go to them in Salt Lake City as well.
