“Great Accomodations - but do not use the ski rental”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

We have stayed at New Years the last two years and had an awesome time with a large group of family and friends and have joined Hilton Grand Vacations because of the location. It is a great get away, ski in and ski out location with a awesome Hilton staff to help you. Rooms are spacious, great shuttle service into Park City, and restaurants/bars are short walk away from the property. Would love to see a fire pit added to the property for the cold evenings by the hot tub/pool

The one point you MUST BE AWARE - the on site ski rental (not Hilton managed/owned) is the worst excuse for ski rental at a resort I have ever seen or hope to see in the future. From not being prepared with appropriate equipment (with a reservation done weeks in advance) to staff that was not trained to being WAY OVERCHARGED for days we did not use the equipment. Even after months of fighting with there corporate office we still have received minimal acknowledgement and compensation. Beware and use a company like Ski Butlers or any of the local shops for ski rental. The RENTSKIS outfit at this location almost makes me want to change locations to stay next year - it was that frustrating !

We stayed in a Single Bedroom just after ski season ended and before the summer visitors swarmed to this cozy mountain destination. Park City is great for shopping, food and drink. We were here to check out the time-share options (We are already Hilton Vacation Club Members). The rooms are luxurious, the full suites are opulent. Ours was more like a nice Hilton King bed single hotel room. Very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a $15 per day Valet charge and free WiFi. Grandkids came up from SLC for a fun day in the pool and hot tub. The view of sunrise is beautiful (and where the property gets its name).

I am overdue in writing this review - but my husband and I agreed that this is the best place we have eva' stayed during spring break/vacation. The lifts were in close proximity and there was a grocery store that you could reach by foot in less than 8 minutes. The staff service was excellent, internet accessibility was stable and easy to connect. We had a 2 BDr condo (with 3 full baths) very close to the outdoor pool. The in/out parking was a breeze. We really didn't want to leave! Compared to the Elara in Las Vegas (see my review), this more than made up for that stay. The lodge is equipped with a nice fitness room as well. There's also a free shuttle service that takes you to downtown Main Street. We really enjoyed the stay and if we every return to Utah for a ski vacation, this lodge will be our first choice. DO stop by the conceierge for advice on dinner (reservations fill quickly) and if you sit for the "presentation", you can save $$ spent. As for skiing, it was the end of March so the snow was not powdery but it was good enough to have some family fun time on the slopes.

Our stay was good but not fantastic. Granted we did stay in mud season and there was not much to do but the hotel could use some amenities. There is a vending machine and that it. You have to walk across the parking lot to get to any store or restaurant. Which were half closed due to mud season. It also wouldve been nice to recieve an email saying the lifts were closed. Not the hotels fault. The staff at the hotel were awesome!!!

Thanks for the review and nice comments about our team. We are sorry there was not more to do during this time of year and appreciate your feedback. Hopefully we can welcome you back when the resort is more “active.” Should you have further questions, feel free to contact me at the resort anytime.

I am a HGVC owner, and this was my first time staying here. It is like many of the other resorts owned by Hilton...a great place to stay in a great location, but usually doesnt have all the amenities that people expect. There is no restaurant, so if you are expecting one, you will be disappointed. I stayed in a studio that had a mini fridge, also a toaster and microwave. Perfect for a quick bite in the morning before hitting the slopes. Ski valet to take care of your skis and snowboards, and a lift a mere 30 seconds walk across the street. Loved the pool and the jacuzzi. Indoor parking (valet only and pricey per day), although there is a lot across the street. Not sure on cost/times. My room had cathedral ceilings, lots of windows, huge bathroom with separate tub / glass enclosed shower. The only complaint I have is all of the windows we had...there was no way to block out the light from the hotel at night. No curtains or blinds. The small windows had them, but there were 3'tall by 15'wide windows open all night. The room was very bright all night, not conducive to sleeping. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of restaurants/bars within a few minutes walk of hotel. Downtown Park City is a 10 minute drive away. If you are here for skiing/snowboarding, you couldn't be in a better spot. If you want the full resort type experience, you might be a little disappointed.

This hotel is advertised as a resort. There are no dining, massage, bar, lounge. Just a Lobby, Room and a Pool. Everything was clean and updated and the staff were great! But if you are expecting a resort experience, go somewhere else with your money.
