“Overall, a good option...needs some details”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

This was our second time staying at Hotel Park City with our 3 boys, 8,6, and 3. Overall, it has most everything that a family could want on a ski trip...spacious rooms, great breakfast, outdoor pool/hot tub, etc. We especially loved having the ski rental downstairs, which was uber convenient. The staff was helpful, although when we asked about getting some drinks delivered to the pool outside they were clearly not set up for that.

The location is in between all of the mountains, which inspired us to ski at all of them. The downside about the location is that nothing is walkable. Yes, there are shuttles to a couple of the mountains, but we found that transportation was always an issue, especially with younger kids.

Overall, it's a beautiful, well managed place, but if convenience is paramount it his may not be your place.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Because time and other plans would not permit a distant vacation, I decided to book a room at Hotel Park City (just 45 minutes from where we live.) From the second we arrived we were in absolute awe of the beauty of the hotel, inside and out. The staff is hands down, the most kind and professional I have ever encountered. They kindly welcomed my wife and I, and told us of all the onsite amenities (huge selection) They made it clear to us that we could count on them for anything we needed throughout our stay. After directing us to our room, we found plenty of parking in their underground and completely secure parking garage. From there is was a short walk to our room. From what I understand, I had booked one of their less expensive rooms, from the second we arrived at our door, I would have thought it was one of their very best, high-end suites. One step into the room and my wife and I were completely amazed at how nice our room was. From the beautiful travertine shower with body sprays to the huge jetted tub. From the gas fireplace and deck to the multiple flat screen TVs equipped with Bose surround sound. It had a fully equipped kitchenette (Sub Zero fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave and stove) with beautiful cabinets filled with all the pots and pans, dishes and plates that you might need to prepare a meal. I was happy because there was nice big, glass popcorn bowl and salt/pepper for my microwave popcorn I have to eat when I watch movies. We both loved the warm mountain style décor and every square foot of the room. Since we had a few hours before our dinner reservation, we strolled around the hotel and grounds. We were amazed at how EVERYTHING was in tip-top shape. There was not a single thing out of place or needing upkeep of any kind. We went back to our room and made the mistake of plopping down on the bed to relax for a minute. It was by far the most comfortable bed and linens that I have ever slept in, Neither one of us wanted to get up.

We finally made it to our reservation at the on-site Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and had an absolute delicious and romantic dinner. We were seated next to a huge window with amazing views of the ski slopes that were illuminated in the night and very nicely lighted trees on the hotel property. They had a local singer there that played and sang a very nice selection of songs. She had a great voice and the volume was perfect. After dinner we retired to our room and sat by the warm fireplace and watched a favorite movie. We slept amazing that night and both commented how quite the room was. No noise from outside the building and no noise from people walking or talking in the hallways. It was, by far, the very best overnight stay we have had anywhere, our only regret is that we could not stay for a longer time and try out other amenities such as the pool or hot tub, but it gives us a good reason to go back.

Thanks Hotel Park City and staff. We look forward to staying there again soon.

My wife and I just returned from a 3 day weekend in Park City. We were in SLC for a conference and decided to make a reservation at the Marriott Park City.. when we drove up to the Marriott my wife said.. 'do you think we could find something more rustic'... I had been watching the Hotel Park City reviews on tripadvisor..so we drove by the Hotel Park City location and I looked up the website on my phone.. and called the hotel. The lady said they had two room available.. I said we would take one... when we arrived just 10 minutes later.. she said the rooms have no been cleaned yet, but I had a cancellation and will put you in that room... well let me tell you.. it's room 301 and wow.. what a beautiful room with a breathtaking view of the golf course and mountain. The staff was wonderful, they told us there was a market and state store just across the street.. so when went and stocked up for the weekend. The weekend could not have been better.. we were both sorry to leave on Sunday. BTW - the old town Park City is a great place to visit and grab some lunch also. Thanks Hotel Park City for a great weekend!

We have stayed in hotels/resorts around the world and this property is truly worthy of its 4-Diamond rating...from the moments I spoke with Danielle (on-site reservation agent)...who was extremely friendly & helpful and was very happy to discuss all the options for our stay. Upon arriving at the hotel... Bill the bellmen greeted us with a smile and immediately help us with our baggage and car!

We were escorted to the front desk...we were welcomed graciously by Micah (who was working at the front desk)...he assisted with our reservation and found a great suite with a beautiful view of the Park City Resort...at that time he explained all the hotel amenities and asked us if we have any special needs or was there any special occasions during our visit.

Bill the took us to our room...he also explained all the amenities of the hotel & our suite (internet service, the spa & their services, exercise room, pool and the underground parking, etc.) The hours of operation for Ruth Chris Steak House and many of the activities around Main Street & Park City.

On the day of our departure...we requested a late check out...and Tim (Manager on Duty) was more that generous and allowing us a late check...Tim personally thank us for staying at his hotel...a very nice touch for a 4 - Diamond Resort!

We have already booked another stay at the Hotel Park City for next year ski season...what a great resort for a business meeting or just a family getaway. I highly recommend the Hotel Park City, which has excellent customer (friendly) service and a staff that is well trained and are truly caring hospitality professionals.

Thanks again for a wonderful vacation...see you in February 2015!

Room Tip: All the suite have great views of the golf course and the Park City Resort Mountains....

Spent the weekend with close friends unwinding in the beautiful lodging and surrounds of The Hotel Park City. I'm a repeat customer and will be back again. We live in Salt Lake City and this is one of our favorite retreats with skiing, hiking, biking, golfing and great food. You won't be disappointed.

The rooms are very comfortably appointed with large comfortable beds, a lower living area and luxurious bathroom. The pool is ideally situated for an amazing view of the mountains. Our last visit we enjoyed fantastic outdoor dining from Ruth Chris with local music played in the background. Quite romantic. Their workout facility is excellent though without a view.

They have one small drawback; As a first timer you have to learn how to get to your car, lobby, restaurant, pool and room; it's a bit complicated. But I've figured it out and love the place.

Room Tip: Ask for the deluxe rooms with a kitchen facing the mountain. We prefer to be on the lower level for...

We booked a room in early June just to get away for a day. We spent the better part of the day on Main Street in Park City enjoying shopping and restaurants. We checked in to the hotel later in the afternoon and were plesently surprised at the quality and quaintness of the cottage we stayed in. It had every ammenity possible including a hot tub on the deck. Everyone was very courteous and went out of their way to answer any questions we had. We are very much looking forward to our next stay!

Room Tip: Our room was excellent but we may request a room on the second floor on our next visit.

What a nice suite, it has everything you need, 2 flat screen TVs, jetted tub, big bathroom, excellent king size bed, it was nice after enjoying excellent diner at Ruth's Chris steaks and nice bottle of wine. Next time I'll schedule a round of golf with the room
