“Conference super stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

Got it all. I love Park City for the skiing so I know it well, however I stayed here for a conference and found the individuality of the accommodation fantastic.

Hot tubs, pools, lovely skies. I almost forgot to go to the conference.

By the way there is an awesome micro brewery on the high street and they have a multitude of beers to try ... so I did.

I was looking forward to staying at The Chateau at Silver Lake for a sales meeting (after reading the other reviews). However, it has been a mixed bag at best.

PROs:
- Friendly staff
- Nice buffet style food during our lunch and dinner functions
- Complimentary wireless internet

CONs:
- Room stuffy and dusty
- Poor bed/mattress quality
- All rooms have connecting doors to adjacent rooms
- On site restaurant only open during weekends (off season)
- Ridiculously expensive business center ($17 to print 4 b/w pages)

Overall, it is an OK location for a corporate group meeting, but it will not be your best hotel experience ever.

Good views and location. Room with murphy bed was awesome.
Did have false fire alarm go off at 2am due to some maintenance going on in garage area.

I just returned from a conference that was held at the Chateaux. We were there for four nights. We were treated so well by everyone on the staff. All staff members were friendly, helpful, accommodating and professional, which really made us feel welcome and at home. The food was quite good, but we particularly liked that "snacks" were brought to our meeting each day around 2:30 in the afternoon. One day it was a Mexican theme, with nachos, salsa, guacomole, churros and fruit. Another day it was cookies, rice krispy treats and the large pretzels with mustard. We were spoiled! I'm sure this was arranged by our event coordinators, but it was always such a treat. I think my favorite dish was the tomato soup with the grilled bread - so flavorful and creamy, and the bread was crispy outside, and soft inside. Rooms were clean and very comfortable, with the two sinks and mirror outside the bathroom, comfortable queen-sized beds and fireplace. They have hot tubs and a pool. I did not go to either, but I heard the hot tub was clean and relaxing. My room did not have a kitchenette, but the suites do. The suites are owned by individuals, so those will vary based on the tastes and needs of the owners. If I ever go back to Park City, I hope to stay here again!

We recently stayed at The Chateaux for two nights using a TravelZoo coupon (2 nights lodging plus $100 gift certificate at Cena Ristorante for $220 plus tax). The Chateaux is in Deer Valley next to the Stein Erikson lodge. We stayed in a regular hotel room (#325). The room was very nice with a King size bed, fireplace, jetted tub, fridge, toaster and dishes/silverware. The room had extra amenities like bathrobes and turn down service. We were also given discounts to the spa and the restaurant at Stein Erikson. The Cena Ristorante was only open Thurs - Sun. for dinner. There is nothing close by to pick up a quick meal in the summer near the hotel. It was very clean. The mattress was awful (old mattress with pillow top pad on top). Upon check-out we let the front desk know about the mattress. They said all units were individually owned. A small microwave would've been nice also. The room had no view. My husband used the fitness center and we used the outdoor pool one afternoon. There are a lot of things to do in Park City in the summer. We would stay there again. We had our own car but they did provide a shuttle service for guests. Check-in is through the parking garage.

This was an exceptional hotel. It was more of a lodge/ hotel mix. It is a beautiful place to stay. It feel like home away from home. The food was ok. You can take the shuttle's which are very fine automobiles. The front desk people are rewarding!!!! They help you to make your stay as good as possible. I loved this hotel and I will be back :-}

Room Tip: Can I have a room on the very top floor.
