“Fun in the sun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2008

Just got back from a week at Park City. The whole fam had a great time. The older kids enjoyed the bungee jump and alpine coaster. My little one had fun on the carousel and the airplane ride though both do show signs of wear. She even braved up to go on the alpine slide (which required riding the ski lift). My brother's fam rode the skilift up to to the top and walked around for a while. The views are quite spectacular.

I had no idea that there was so much to do during the summer. The resort had a special deal - a fee for unlimited rides for one day. I think it was because it was 4th of July weekend. Anyways, it was a good deal. I would definitely go back again as we didn't get to see everything that we could have.

“Something for everyone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2008

I went with a group of people ranging from first-timers to intermediate-advanced skiers & snowboarders. PCMR had enough variety to please everyone. The trails are wide and the resort is large enough that it rarely feels crowded, except maybe near the base. Conditions were phenomenal-- lots of fresh powder, and even the tracked-out trails were cushy when I fell! (Being from the northeast, I expect a fall to be accompanied by bone-bruising pain...)

The major drawback was the cost. Lift tickets are pricey, and you have to drive a ways to find anyone selling discount tickets.

Overall I liked Snowbird better but Park City is great if you want some easier runs.

“Great resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2008

We spent a short weekend in Park City in Jan 08'. Tried both Canyons and Park City Resort. Definetly recommend Park City over Canyons!! The layout is much more spacious, and if you are a beginner/intermediate skier there's much more trails to go to (try Homerun). The ski equipments are newer and things are generally more up to date.
Can't wait till we get back to ski at Park City!

“Summer Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2006

Stopped by the Resort on an early Summer day to see what was available. Rode the lift all the way to the top and walked halfway down to the Zip line area (you can get off at the Zip line area on the way up if you don't want to walk back down). Tough walk so don't try it if you have bad knees (Guilty!) or physical impairments. Three of us tried the Zip line, a lot of fun and not as scary as you might think, once you get out of the gate. Long ride down but comfortable and fun. Our 13 year old rode the Alpine coaster, basically a toboggan on wheels that rides down a track, and he enjoyed that.

They also have horseback riding (walking horses only), a basic putt putt course, shaved ice stand (many choices of syrup toppings), an area for younger kids, and most of the shops and cafes are open as well. You can also rent or bring your own mountain bikes and take them up the lift to the top of the mountain to ride down. These are not paved roads, but the riders we saw handled the paths without much problem.

A fun way to spend a few hours on the mountain in the summer, people were nice and views were terrific.

“Park City Mountain Spring Break 2004 - Loved It!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2004

March 23 - 27, 2004. Spring Break with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Great time - will go back.

Ski - Spring snow conditions when we first arrived - but 22" during our stay. Loved the lifts and runs and new snow.

Altitude - At 6900' much easier on you than Colorado or California. No headaches or insomnia or breathlessness.

Lodging - Stayed at The Lodge at MountainVillage. Was very convenient ski in / ski out (I think only 1 of 2 ski in / ski outs available).
Enjoyed heated pool and hot tubs. Room was Studio Loft - a little small, but workable. Balcony opened onto resort plaza. They graciously allowed us a 2:00 p.m. checkout time to allow us to ski all day prior to an evening flight. Yea!

Equipment - Rented equipment at Aloha Rentals - they were great. Very convenient - literally outside the door of the condo. Could store your equipment there each night.

Transportation - Flew into SLC and took AllResort Express to resort.
Only takes about half hour from airport.

Entertainment / Food - Plenty of places to eat at resort plaza (hungry moose was our favorite for hearty burgers). Free shuttles take you to historic main street where there are many more food / gallery choices.
