This was our first trip out west and I am so glad we chose to stay at Westgate. The rooms and property were beautiful. The staff was so nice and friendly, especially the concierge desk and the bell staff. The concierge desk was kind enough to send a gift basket to our room for my husbands 40th - classy group! The bell staff was informative and entertaining while shuttling us around PC. Loved the ski valet and hot tub to rest the sore muscles. Everything was just awesome! The only downside was it's a little cumbersome how you have to navigate around the hotel. Wish the layout was more convenient.

Room Tip: Bear / Elk lodge are newer. Seek out the pool/hot tub on 2nd floor...was never crowded!

We loved the location! It is near a whole foods and you can walk right to the slopes of the canyons. The property is nice and has all you need. A wonderful gym! We went with family who owns. We stayed in the connected room with delegate kitchen. The main room is fantastic! The masters are great! The lock out room is claustrophobic! There is barely enough room to walk around the bed and no where to put your luggage without jamming into it. The kitchen area is an akward shape, so it's easy to bump into everything. The air conditioner is really loud and drive my husband crazy.

If you are staying in the main room, it's the place to be! If we had to stay in a lock out room we would stay somewhere else next time.

We own at this resort and have always enjoyed our stays. Great location, staff, amenities, and ambiance. We have 2 small children and the resort is very kid friendly - nice pool, game room, activities. Skier services is very helpful and convienent. Drafts is a good on-site restaurant. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Room Tip: Stay in Bear Lodge for eacy pool access.

We loved the Westgate Resort and Spa for our 22nd anniversary. Absolutely everything was fabulous and a dream come true. When the staff found out that it was our anniversary our room was upgraded at no charge. Plus there was a beautiful basket of goodies that contained a personalized congratulations card. We would definitely recommend the Westgate.

We had a terrific trip to Westgate Park City!! It was our 4th stay and while we were disappointed by the snow conditions, our enjoyment was enhanced in other ways. We have the greatest of compliments for some of the staff. We have worked with Tim B. of the sales staff on a couple different occasions and have enjoyed every minute of our time spent with him. He is a fine young man who is well mannered, genuine, personable and fun! He represents your organization with pride and knowledge and deserves the highest of praise. We also enjoyed our interactions with these Edge employees: Taylor, server assistant; Nicole, server, and Nicole, the General Manager. We found them all to be warm, capable, and very attentive. Nicole, the GM made a point to come to our table, introduce herself and chat. She made a very favorable impression on us and certainly cares about our experience at the Edge. Bronco and Maverick were fun and hard-working when we enjoyed our times at Drafts. Your personnel are top-notch!!! Thanks for the memories!

We had a great time at Westgate! It had everything we could need! The rooms were great and everything was close by! Our room had 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and the master bath had a huge tub in the bedroom! Full kitchen and a patio going outside.

Out stay at the Westgate in Park City was ok. That is a problem when you are spending $5000 for the room for a week, I expect a lot more. Further, this was a $4000 discount because we took the sales tour. More on that later.

The place is big (several buildings) and is part of the sloop side "village" of Canyons. So yes you can walk to the lift. But who wants to ski Canyons when Deer Valley is down the road. Not me.

The room we had was two bedrooms, with two kitchens, and 4 TVs. They claimed to have updated it recently, but still we had cabinets in the kitchen that were peeling, the furniture was too big for the rooms, and for reasons unknown they choose to place a giant bath tub in the master bedroom.

Room location was terrible (maybe because we on the $4000 discount plan. But we were on the fifth floor right next to the kids game room. VERY NOISY at almost all hours of the day. And our view was almost below ground level looking at the outdoor pool. I am sure there are nicer rooms in the complex, but we did not have one.

Other things in the resort. Draft is the Casual restaurant. It is bland food, Very NOISY and not a enchanting bar. It was one of my least favorite hotel simple dining options in years.

I did not try the steak house ($60 an entree seemed more than a little pricey) Instead we went to "The Farm" across the way and had one of the better meals of recent time (see separate review.) The Farm is not part of the Westgate.

They did allow us to check in early, and the staff was very nice.

As far as the ski in ski out. We have been skiing Utah for 15 years, and have tried all the hills, and Canyons as a hill is simply our least favorite. Others may like it, we do not. Thus the ski in ski out was not a priority for us. We skied Deer Valley, Alta and Park City.

The biggest downer was the time share sales pitch. We have done a few of these before, but this one took the cake for the most obnoxious. First of all we were scheduled to have out sales pitch at 8:30 am on Friday morning, and breakfast was promised. Alas, at 8:30 am we we at the appointed spot, and no one was there. Long story, we did our sales pitch at 3 that afternoon. Even then they could not find us in their record keeping. Now who runs a time share sales pitch to someone who has just been staying in the place for 6 days. (Not too smart). But then sales is programmed. The sales lady was nice. The deals were interesting to say the lease (Let's Make a Deal comes to mind). Without all the specifics we started at $400,000 (for 2 BR for 2 Weeks a year) and ended at $1500 (for 1 BR for 1 week next year only. We declined. But the magnitude of the deal making astounded me. More importantly I simply did not trust the company by the time the sale pitch was done.

The indoor outdoor pool was nice, but very slippery. It gets an above average vote in my book.

The bottom line is that this place is charing a premium for being sloop side with many "Amenities". But the Amenities are average at best, and it is by a bad sloop. And the trimming on the hotel are average at best. Why pay premium prices for a sub par product.
