“Corridors - Corridors”

I really can't add much that hasn't already been said - this place started with one building and all the amenities are in that building - they then built more HUGE buildings and you have to walk 5-10 minutes down endless corridors and multiple elevator changes to get anywhere.

To share something unique - took the long walk to the in house bar one morning at about 10. Ordered 2 bloody marys. The bar tender took it upon herself to upgrade us from a 6 dollar drink to what they call their "bacon bloody mary" a concoction of top shelf vodka - too much jalapeno juice and a 1/2 strip of bacon. Imagine my surprise when the bill was $48.00 for 4 drinks. When questioned - the answer was "that is our bloody mary". I have never been involuntarily upgraded to a top shelf liquor before.

Also - the sent 5 people to my door to fine me for smoking in the room. I never smoked in the room - I did smoke outside on the balcony - someone reported me and they refused to compromise. I understand no smoking in rooms - but not outside.

The Hyatt next door is much nicer - newer and half the price.

Room Tip: never - never accept a studio suite. It is the size of an RV inside. Villa only.

The accommodations were comfortable and decent, with convenient access to the lifts of Canyons, if you intend to ski there. The two elevators servicing the parking garage and Elk Lodge were problematic… slow and crowded as they were in a congested part of the complex, near the pool, game room, ski lockers. Endless waits, so opted for the stairs most of the time. The area around the pool was very slippery… I am surprised there haven't' been a multitude of accidents there. We were surprised to learn that the units had just been renovated as the maple veneer on cabinets in the kitchen were peeling. The bathroom and shower were nice, though a double jacuzzi in the bedroom was odd. Very expensive for what was provided. Can do a lot better in the Park City area.

Great rooms. Amazing location. Pools and hot tubs are perfect for après.

Staff eager to help, but not the best I've encountered.

In-house restaurant, Drafts, leaves some things to be desired. The food is lousy, and the service is slow.

Building is a bit maze-like, but a great place overall.

A spa is a must after skiing. Ask for Vicki--she rocks.

It has almost been a week since our party has left the Westgate, and we still can not stop talking about what an amazing vacation we had.The resort has a prime location within the canons village and the entire property is absolutely beautiful. From the moment we pulled up onto the driveway and walked into front doors we were treated like royalty. Every employee we came into contact with was beyond polite and incredibly attentive. It is very easy to turn your brain off while on vacation and look towards others for assistance and all the answers. Kyle from the concierge desk was very good at this. He was crucial throughout our entire stay, very professional and deserves a raise! Cesar, from housekeeping, helped us find our way around the resort every time we got lost - which was very often. And Although the snow and weather conditions were not ideal during out stay, the additional amenities and overall experience at the Westgate made up for it. For a group that also currently works for a four star, ski in-ski out, timeshare resort, I feel it takes a lot for a property to truly stand out and make such a strong impression on us. We look out for and notice things that an average guest might not think about. We were all truly impressed and can't wait to come back!!

Side note: The beds and pillows are FANTASTIC!!! I slept like a baby.

We stayed at the Westgate 2/18/15 thru 2/24/15 in a one bedroom with kitchen & living room with fireplace. Found a deal on the trip thru travelocity for a great price. The hotel was truly ski in ski out, staff friendly & responsive, place sparkling clean. Had a 50 minute massage by Marie at Serenity Spa inside hotel. She was amazing - next time I will ask for her & get 80 minute not 50 minute. I've had plenty massages and I was amazed at how Marie was able to find my problem areas and correct them in such a short time. Had fun dinners at Drafts and memorable dinner at the Edge restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel & spa.

After coming here for ten years, it was interesting to read the reviews. And, after all these years, we enjoy all the pluses and ignore the negatives. The location is one of the best on the mountain, especially since they moved the gondola close to Westgate. Skier services are great and the valeting of skis the best. We did like it better when skis and boots were on the same flower, but...
We love the spacious rooms and the 2-bedroom condo suits us. The smaller suite is just used for sleeping and the larger suite accommodates all for eating and socializing. Our group enjoys relaxing in the hot tubs after a day of skiing. We also like the shuttle service between the other two ski areas and into town Lastly, do not miss the superb spa. It is consistently one of the highlights of my trip.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms with a view looking over the valley
