Let me preface this review by saying my husband and I are (timeshare) owners, so some of my opinions are obviously biased. We bought 8 years ago after spending a week at the Sundial Lodge. We knew that we wanted to make an annual trip to PC and Westgate seemed ideal. We initially purchased a 2 BR suite, but have since upgraded to a 4 BR suite. For anyone at all familiar with Westgate, those are the rooms with the wide decks on the end of the building with a hot tub. We just returned from another weeklong stay (3/1-8). This time we were in room 4300 ABC. Many positives during our stay. Friendly staff (anyone passing in the halls says hello, as they should), addition of Drafts to site (although service is not yet what it should be), relocated and better stocked Marketplace, ski valet service, and adult relaxation pool (if you don't have young children, this is the place!). We didn't eat at Edge (the new steakhouse) so I can't comment on that. The negatives are somewhat the same as previous years. Navigating the complex is not easy (and we have stayed there many times). You can't pass from one building to another without having to usually take an elevator and connect on a different floor. In the 4 BR suite, there is a huge lack of storage in the 2 main bedrooms. The only furniture provided is a desk with 3 skinny drawers. Skiers have a lot of layers, they don't fit in skinny desk drawers! The attached bathroom has what can best be described as an open closet with a high shelf and a rod for items that can be hung. Replace the desk with a dresser! The fireplace generated some heat when turned on but while off, cold air blew out of it. We only used housekeeping once midweek and called to request a window of time to be serviced (10-2), which they nicely accommodated. However the bags of trash and dirty linens remained outside our door until after 5 pm. The unit does have a (small) washer and dryer in what looks like a closet (really just a nook), but it doesn't have a door. It is very loud when you are sitting watching tv. One of our biggest complaints remains the ski valet/skier locker room. The convenience of having your skis waiting for you at the gondola or in the lobby on the days we went elsewhere, can't be beat. However, what you don't find out until you are there is that you have to go to valet to ask for your skis to be put out and then obviously go to the locker room to put on your boots. Problem is that they are not on the same floor. Ride the elevator to 6 to request your skis, ride back to 4 to locker room and then back to 6 to exit. Try waiting at the 2 elevators when everyone else is coming and going at the start or end of the ski day! A system needs to be put in place allowing guests the ability to communicate with valet via the internet. It would be so much easier to fill out a form at the beginning of your stay saying what days you would like your skis. So glad I don't have small children to drag from floor to floor. All in all, we love our annual trip to the Canyons. If you are looking for a place to stay with quick access to the slopes, and activities and amenities for all ages this is the place.

I stayed here with my family over the past weekend. From the moment Kevin's concierge staff took our bags from the car to the moment we left, we were treated with nothing but stellar service.

Every single employee that we passed in the hallways greeted us, which was a nice touch. The rooms are very spacious, and the studio villa unit is much bigger than a traditional hotel room and has a nice little kitchenette for preparing breakfast.

The steam shower in our room was amazing and we will definitely be back here with our family again. Next time, we are going to book into the two bedroom unit so that we have even more space to enjoy.

My husband and I just returned from an excellent stay at the Westgate. We booked our hotel and airfare online through Travelocity two weeks before Valentine's Day. We got an awesome deal, and it was so much cheaper than Colorado. The skiing was beautiful, and I now can honestly say that I prefer Utah!

Some of the reviews that I had read talked about all of the high pressure sales pitches that all guests received, and we were wonderIng what we might be getting into. We never had anything brought up to us about timeshares after we checked in. The rep did provide us with some wonderful cookies, and left the door open for us to contact him if we were interested in further discussion.

The resort is perfect. Excellent facilities! The skier services always did a phenomenal job! The guys at aloha rentals were great. They are located inside the hotel. The onsite restaurants are wonderful and convenient, both providing exceptional service.

The spa at westgate is amazing! The couples treatment room is honestly one of the best that I've ever seen. We experienced a bath, exfoliation, and Swedish massage. It was a special package promotion, and it was well worth the price! Do not miss a trip to the spa!

Also, the market located inside of Westgate has a variety of goodies. Wine is all very reasonably priced, as prIces are regulated by the state. Just wait until you arrive to buy your wine or beer. It is cheaper there than it is in my home state.

All of the staff was helpful. The shuttle took us into town and picked us up a couple of times. They are reliable and very friendly. What a wonderful trip! We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a resort that has all of the extras with great slope side access and that is reasonably priced, check out the Westgate! We loved it!

When checking in we were already assigned to a room VERY far from the friends with which we were traveling. We asked Sean Ryan if he could possible assign a room closer to our friends. He spent at least 10 minutes researching the options and WAS able to put us next door to our friends.
In the 9 years we have been owners, no one had been able to accomplish that for us before. Sean made our vacation so wonderful and convenient. We were able to be with our friends quickly and enjoyed our shared time SO MUCH. He MADE the vacation!!! .
