“Very poor maintenance, stay somewhere else in Park City”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Last week we held a corporate retreat where we booked multiple rooms/suites for the week. Park City is a beautiful destination, however we will never stay at The Lodge at the Mountain Village again. The first night the air conditioning (A/C) in one of the "Premier" 4-bedroom suites didn't work. After reporting the problem to the front desk and the supervisor 4 different times and waiting a day and half the problem still was not corrected. After insisting they move us we were finally switched to two 2-bedroom suites late the second night. The following day we had reserved a conference room for some training and the A/C in this room also didn't work. We reported the problem multiple times to the front desk and the management and after enduring the hot, humid conditions the following day we were finally moved to a different room with working A/C. Other minor issues included blinds that were broken or missing pieces, washing machine that was broken, toilet that was clogged and lights that were blown out.

Overall the property had an outdated feel and a musty smell. The maintenance was poor and the customer service was fair. Many times we heard the phrase from the front desk, "I just got here and don't know anything about your issue but I'll see what I can do". There was no ownership, no proactive attempt to provide good customer service and no communication as staff came and left from one shift to another about ongoing problems we were working with them to resolve. Several times we requested to speak with the General Manager, Gary Gregg and were given his business card but after multiple phone calls and voice messages have been unable to speak with him and have been offered no discount on the fees we paid either for the hotel suites that were not as advertised or for the conference room that for an entire day had no A/C.

After several attempts to contact you with no results, I would like to inform you that we have addressed all the challenges you had during your most recent stay. Each unit at the lodge is privately owned it is unfortunate that a mechanical issue arose in your room during your stay. As the property management company for your meeting your company was given compensation for the challenges that you encountered. The staff of the lodge works very hard to ensure that each and every one of our guests has an outstanding stay.

After two weeks on the road we planned a rendezvous with some of our family for a quick rest stop. We had tried to get reservations at the lodge, but we were booked in another property by All Seasons Resort. We arrived a day early and decided to check and see what the chance would be to stay an extra night. Brian and John at the desk were both so very helpful. They were able to change the reservation from another property, move us over to their lodge, give us the extra night at the same rate. The unit was only a one bedroom, but more than enough room for the four of us with the murphy bed. We really enjoyed the air conditioning in the room during this hot period of time. We had a deck to enjoy the views and had a wonderful time visiting the area The outside deck area was a bit rough and could use some maintenance. The room was more than comfortable. Thanks again to Brian and John they were both excellent in customer satisfaction.

Stayed here with friends over the weekend and the condo exceeded our expectations. Check-in was a breeze and the staff at the front desk was very friendly and informative. This is not really a hotel but each condo is individually owned. Our room was nicely decorated and large. Unit has two bedrooms with a king in one bedroom on the main floor and upstairs opens up to two twins and queen. Beds could've been a bit more comfortable. A/C is a must in the summer and some rooms here don't have it. There is a small gym and indoor/outdoor pool. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with A/C if you're staying in the summer.

We stayed at the "Lodge" in unit 251 for eleven nights from 6/27/13 - 7/8/13. This is the 2nd year in a row we stayed in the same unit. The best thing about this unit is it's size and location. The unit has two bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths on two levels. Beds were very comfortable. The unit has wonderful views. Although the unit did not have a washer and dryer, the unit is right next to available washer and dryer facilities. Carpet in the unit could use replacing and bathrooms are nearing to be updated. Staff was always very friendly and attended to or needs and questions.

Overall, the Lodge at Mountain Village could use some capital improvements to update the facility. Unit corridors/hallways could be brighten up with better lighting and new carpeting. The pool is showing its age with evidence of repeated tile replacement. The entire building looks like it is due for siding replacement.

Thank you for being a repeat guest of All Seasons Resort Lodging. We appreciate your business. I will make sure that your concerns are passed on to the owner of the unit. In addition I will pass on the comments concerning the outside of the property to the HOA of the Lodge.

We look forward to seeing you during your next visit to Park City

I stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful and the staff, especially John, was beyond helpful! The bus stop for the free shuttle to Main Street was right in front of the hotel and the views at the base of the mountain added to the ambiance. I'll definitely be staying there when I come back this winter!

Room Tip: Lofts were beautiful and more private!

We stayed here one night on July 6, 2013. We were beyond pleased with the 1 bedroom Premier room. Very luxurious and comfortable, with washer/dryer, full kitchen with upgraded appliances, 5 televisions in the suite, access to a good pool and fair gym, and breathtaking location (of course - it is Park City, after all). My only knock would be that we had a little difficult time finding the restroom closest to the pool area, and the smokers in the outdoor pool area were a bit much (since I thought and was told this entire facility was smoke-free). Quick check-in, fast wifi in the room (and free), and a great value for families. I will come again. I didn't try any of the on site restaurants or room service, so I can't report on that.

The staff and owners of the Lodge thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor. The staff and all of our owners work very hard to deliver the best in product and service. I will mention to the HOA about the smoking in the pool area. The Lodge is 100% smoke free.

We look forward to seeing you during your next visit to Park City.

All I can say is AMAZING. The accommodations are are nothing short of phenomenal. The front desk associates, Kara and Brian, were very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and wonderful. The property is stunning, clean, and worthy of a 5-star rating. My wife and I were just passing through Park City, and we've found a new favorite place to stay. We've traveled the world and have found The Lodge at Mountain Village to be a world class resort. We HIGHLY recommend The Lodge at Mountain Village. Truly wonderful.

Room Tip: Condo #144 is amazing.
