“Perfect Lodging @ Perfect Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

We continue to return to Park City and the Lodge @ the Mountain Village because of location, amenities, and friendly atmosphere. The ski in/ski out feature is great for families---no need to travel after a day of fun on the slopes. Pool, hot tub, work out room and ski locker all available for your convenience. Our condo (252) was immaculate, well appointed, and had new furnishings. Also, there was a computer available for me to print my plane boarding passes etc at the front desk. I love the fact that you can ride the free shuttle into town (5 min trip) and eat or shop if you need a rest from snow activities. The staff is friendly and the skiing is great for all levels--from experts to little ones. Not only is this a great place during the winter but I am thinking the summer and fall would provide many activities/festivals and a kaleidoscope of colors with beautiful sunrise/sunsets etc. You can't go wrong with the Lodge at the Mountain Village. I highly recommend it---I know I will return again!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 252. Sleeps 11 I think. Beds were very comfortable.

We have taken several ski vacations to Park City over the years and have always returned to The Lodge because of its location and amenities. We have asked for and stayed in room 252 because it is clean, beautifully furnished, well equipped, and continually being updated. Plus, the owner has added many personally niceties that we enjoy. So, I have always been perplexed when I read a bad review on The Lodge. After our recent trip, I now know the reason. The Lodge is individual owned condos/apartments that are rented out by different agencies with different standards. Room 252 is managed by All Seasons Resort Lodging, and the standards to be in their rental program are very stringent. Not only is their quality control extremely high, All Seasons has the contract to run the hotel services for The Lodge. This is a real bonus, because if you have a problem all you have to do is call the front desk where there is 24/7 service. For their renters, All Seasons also provides local shuttle service, newspapers, and locks for the ski lockers. We plan to return to The Lodge, ask for 252, and if 252 is not available, rent another 3-bedroom condo from All Seasons. There is an old adage that holds true for The Lodge: “You get what you pay for” and this is really true when it comes to having an on scene management company.

Regardless of the room you stay in, the pool, hot tubs, access to the slopes, and front desk clerks have always been 5-star.

Room Tip: Go through All Seasons to insure you will get the best room at this fantastic resort. 252 is always...

Having read other reviews on this property I decided to try it. Upon arrival, there is no cart or other means to get your groceries or gear to the room. Once we finally got to the room, half the vertical blinds were broken or missing from the window and it had holes in the carpet. Fortunately, we were able to move to another room with blinds (only one broken this time), but it did not turn out to be much better. The screen on fireplace was broken and we had a herd of elephants arrive at 11 p.m. in the room above us. The noise went on for hours and it repeated our remaining nights. Very stressful to say the least. The pull out bed was horrible. The savings is NOT great and the convenience NOT much better. I would stay anywhere else but here with so many other choices. I think one review said good place for college kids - if you have graduated don't stay here.

Room Tip: Get on the top floor if you can.

Attention Travelers -- If you are planning to go on a Parent / Child or Family Ski vacation do yourself a favor --- CONSIDER THIS LOCATION. The proximity to the Pay Day Lift and the Ski School is fantastic. All of the restaurants (bars), ski rental, tickets... everything is within maybe 30 second walk. It is hard to explain how convenient the location is -- fantastic.

The room we stayed in is room 253. The room is large and spacious. This room happens to overlook the ice skating rink, mountain and just about everything! The room is considered a 3 bedroom. There was 1 bedroom (master bedroom) and another bedroom that had 2 single beds. The third bedroom is really the living room and this has a Murphy bed in it. There was also a pull out bed on the sofa. TVs (cable options) are nice -- the unit was well supplied with kitchen items, bath items, etc (at least for 2 Dads and 2 Four year olds).

The unit owners are Stan and Terri (I'll leave out their last names but they are on the back of their sign-in book above the fireplace). The furnishings are comfortable and practical. Everything worked, lots of outlets for Ipads, Blackberry's, computers, etc.

The pool / Hot tub / sauna areas are fun, clean and were very easy to access. They supplied towels so we could leave our towels in the room. It really is nice. The pool is indoor / outdoor and fun environment.

OK a few comments:
1. Internet coverage was poor at best. But heh, were on vacation!

2. I called the Lodge about making our ski school reservations and -- unfortunately -- they basically just told me -- sorry we don't do that. I would have appreciated them organizing it for me through the Mountain Resort Signature Program. So, you have to call another number to get the info on the Ski School program. The reality of it is that I didn't know how close the ski school is to the hotel -- it makes sense when you arrive but I needed my wife to book it... Oh, check in for the ski school the day you arrive -- get all of your ski school tickets, lift tickets etc the day before. You'll appreciate the extra time in the morning.

3. Ask about airport transfers from this facility -- the Lodge has their own vehicles. They neglected to mention that to me when I booked directly through their main phone number.

Personal Comment:
we did the 3 day ski school and the 3 day lift pass.... Yeah -- great idea! We probably would have appreciated doing 2 days ski school, 1 day off, then 2 days more skiing. What can we say it was our First Annual!

So, if your planning a Daddy / Child Ski weekend do yourself a favor and check out this location. We did and we recommend it!

Room Tip: Just confirm how many bedrooms and the bed layout. Everything was OK for us because we were only 2 D...

This lodge is located right next to Park City Mountain Resort. The basement has ski lockers which open right onto the slopes for an awesome ski-in, ski-out experience.

The room we stayed in was huge, clean, and well kept. It's obvious that class is an important goal. The condo was decorated in a perfect park city fashion, with cowboys and a great western theme.

I would highly recommend this place to any one interested in an amazing mountain experience.

No luxury - ski in and ski out so perfect location. People are very nice. Rooms are dated- and many of the lofts are not ideal for kids. Good place for college kids, families with older children, and close location

Thank you for your comments, each condo is individually owned and the decor in units can be different. All Seasons Resort Lodging sells its units by premium and non premium units. When booking please ask for specified units.

Family of 5 staying in room 140. The room itself was nice, updated and clean. It did lack bureau space. Kids room had a tiny chest. Could never fit clothes for 3 children. Master had limited drawers and some space in bathroom. Not really adequate. TV in master did not have cable working. I was not told that the kitchen fridge was dorm size. All of my groceries that I had delivered did not fit. So they put some out on the patio. It was 40 degrees the day we arrived. There goes all my frozen food. The fridge, a subzero, froze up half the food in it. Regardless how low we pushed the temp dial. We ended up pitching out most of the food. Waste of about $75. I was also told it was a ski in/walk out. It was a walk in/walk out. Granted it wasn't that far to walk--up some stairs and across the plaza. Would have appreciated a more accurate description since we were paying for platinum level room. It was nice having shops and a few bars and restaurants right in the plaza. Shuttles were slightly confusing if you didn't really know where you were going. We seemed to always just miss the bus. Next one in 30. Some of the drivers we encountered were not the most helpful. Overall it was nice. We purchased silver pass and enjoyed Canyons and really enjoyed Deer Valley. Best restaurants were Grappa on Main St and Glitretind at the Stein Eriksen Lodge over at Deer Valley. Bandits on Main was great with kids. We will know better next time what questions to ask before booking room.
