“Mixed bag”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Stayed in condo #66 for 5 nights. 2 adults, 2 kids.

First the good:
Decent sized condo, with a gas fire place and reasonably well appointed kitchen with new stove and fridge. Downstairs: MBR with full bath, half bath, kitchen, living room, dining area, washer/dryer. Upstairs: enormous closet, 2nd bedroom (2 full beds) and another bathroom.

The living room was good sized, with a nice sectional couch, gas fireplace, and a nice dining table with plenty of room for 6. The bar/counter had 4 more chairs. There are TVs in LR and both bedrooms with cable service for all. Also wifi in the unit, as well as combo washer/dryer. Bus stop to go to the ski area, town, etc. was just across the street, luckily. Also, the hot tub (seats 20) and pool (heated) were just next door, a short walk away.

Overall it was very quiet, and we hardly saw any neighbors. Nice view out the back towards the golf course.

The bad:
The master bath is fairly small, and not much room to swing a cat. The fridge was completely empty when we arrived (no condiments or other "carry over" food that would be safe to leave). No spices (another condo some friends rented had a spice rack). The resort (or owner, not sure which) didn't furnish any sort of "book of the house" on how things worked, were they were, etc. This led some confusion when we wanted to use the wifi, and even a call to the office didn't help. I finally discovered the SSID and password under the router-it should have been easier.

The hot tub/pool area doesn't have much in the way of a changing area, lockers. Luckily were were close and could just walk quickly take off shoes in the lounge area and leave them there.

Bus transport (#3 Blue route) to town ran every 20 minutes, strangely, for a ski resort, there were no ski-racks on the outside, meaning you had to drag your skis onto the bus. The resort itself has no shuttle, unlike a number of others in the area. The bus makes a loop, so going to the ski area this only 2 stops away. On the return from the ski area, however, it is the 2nd to last stop, so it takes a while.

The ugly:
The master bed (king) is truly awful. Very soft, somewhat trough-like. Our backs were not in great shape after 5 nights in the bed.
The shower head in the master bath is one of those really cheap water saver jobs, that sprays as much air as water. It was also about nose-high, making it a pain to rinse my head (and I'm under 6 feet).
Since it is at altitude, the air is VERY dry. They provided Vicks steam humidifiers, which had a lot of crud in them from the hard water. Not sure what we were actually breathing when those were on, but it took some effort to clean out the crud in the morning.

Overall, it was not a really great experience, nor a truly bad one. But it wouldn't inspire us to go back here either.

Thank you for your Three Kings Condominium review. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed most aspects of the condominium. The owner has completed a remodel in #66 and the condominium is beautiful. For health and safety concerns, our housekeeping director does not leave previous guests food (or spices) in the refrigerators. The condominium is privately owned/furnished. I have shared your comments with our management team and we will be furnishing all condominiums with a unit specific information sheet with Wi-Fi instructions, etc. Thank you for your comments and we hope to see you again.

We called Park City and got a quote for $105 a night for a studio condo. We were surprised to find it was really much larger than a studio. The condo was 1.5 stories, with the bedroom upstairs. The bus stopped right outside the condo to take you to the slopes, and it was a very short trip. If it had not been so extremely COLD we could have walked there. The kitchen was well-supplied. There was also a heated pool, which we did not visit. A great deal!

Stayed in condo #88. Beautifully decorated with all new furniture, everything was new inside the unit and very enjoyable (it was a "gold" unit). We originally booked for just the 2 of us, then decided to bring our grand-daughter. Pleasantly surprised to find an extra smaller bedroom (besides the king bed in our room) with a very nice bunkbed - she was thrilled since we planned on her sleeping on the sleeper sofa!

I stayed in unit #47 of the three kings resort condo for 5 nights in February 2012 and I discovered that my body was bitten all over when I returned home. I had never had bedbug bites before and it was a terrible experience. I hope they will treat the unit so that no one will have to suffer from it again.

After reviewing the seventeen reservations booked into Three Kings 47 between Nov.2011-April 2012, I see no complaints registered from guests about bed bugs in this condominium, are you sure you stayed in unit 47? In 32 years of managing over 200 condominiums, we've only experienced 1 minor case of bed bugs in an individual unit.
If an issue is reported (by either a guest, housekeeper or maintenance staff)
a pest control professional is immediately dispatched to inspect the unit and take action as needed.
Our housekeepers are fully trained to inspect bedding and mattresses when preparing a condo for the next rental and to report issues to our housekeeping director and to the owner of our company. Our maintenance team conducts a full Fall inspection just prior to our
winter season, of every condominium in our rental program (which includes mattress, upholstery and carpeting evaluations/checks).
Was the Three Kings front desk/management notified by the guest so we could investigate the condominium? I can be reached at 435-649-5100 x 105.

We booked one of the Gold units. It was well appointed with granite countertops, an updated kitchen, flat screen TV, modern furniture and a lovely gas fireplace. The 1 bedroom loft was very specious; it worked well for us because we have just one small child who slept soundly on the sleeper sofa. I don't know if the unit offers air conditioning for summer, but it was very comfortable for winter skiing. The covered garage, proximity to the ski lift (3 blocks) and hot tub+heated swimming pool clinched it for us. We will definitely stay here again.

I was checking online for some options for my first vacation skiing and found the website [--] in Park City, Utah. Called the company and the reservations agent was very helpful. They offered me a condominium at Three Kings, What a beautiful place!!! My family enjoyed the location, is so close to the mountains and is located on the bus shuttle route. I was fascinated with the view from my condo, the outdoor heated pool and spa were relaxing after a long day skiing. It was my first time in the snow and I will never forget how nice everything was.
