“Staff make this nice hotel Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2009

The staff goes WAY out of their way to make you feel at home along with a centralized location makes this a great hotel.

The average size hotel rooms have recently been updated using Marriott’s current design schemes. Bedroom was clean, beds really comfortable; bathroom- (two sinks) was clean and free of mold. Rooms were fresh without excessive use of deodorizers. Coin operated washer and dryer on every floor.

Some things to note: Starbuck’s located in lobby opened late every morning we were there. Sometimes you can hear footsteps from the floor above you. Concierge lounge food was average, under age kids not allowed in lounge after 5pm daily.

I'd return without reservation. ttz

Overall this hotel exceeded expectations, mostly because its staff went above and beyond to provide ammentities to the guests. After a long day of skiing, it was nice to come home to hot rum cider and free massages in the lobby! Later in the evening we were pleasantly surprised when a porter knocked on our door offering free beverages (soda, wine, beer). Also, they offered complimentary ski storage. It is located approx. 10 min from Park City and Deer Valley. The hotel operates a free shuttle to and from the mountains during the day which runs about every 15 minutes (reccomend picking up a ticket from the lobby about 20 min. before you want to board). They were good about sending overflow vans to pickup additional people at the end of the day. The hotel restaurant was good for breakfast. A full-service business center offering free wireless was available. Most importantly, all the staff were super helpful and friendly!!!
Only downside of our trip was the overflow of children in the hot tub and steam room. I understand that we visited during a school vacation week, but I don't understand why parents would let their kids run, scream, splash, etc. in a hot tub full of people. Personally, I think saunas and jacuzzis should be off-limit to those under 18.

The hotel staff was very courteous and nice throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean and furnished with nice large flat screen LCD TVs and mini refrigerators. We stayed on the concierge level where they had a nice lounge and served breakfast in the morning and snacks, beverages, hot coffee/tea, and desserts in the evenings which was very convenient. We thought the location was great for us since the hotel is centrally located as we wanted to ski at all the resorts (Deer Valley, Park City and the Canyons) and explore the area. The hotel has lots of amenities that made the trip much more enjoyable. There is a ski shop in the hotel lobby where we rented skis which was very convenient. The gift shop in the lobby also sold lift tickets so we didn't have to wait on line. We also enjoyed jumping into the hot jacuzzi and swimming pool after a full day of skiing. They also have an indoor parking garage, fitness center and internet access. What we liked best was this hotel had lots of amenities to offer and it was less expensive than other places in town. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was over done and dry.

For our ski trip, we choose the Marriott due to its price compared to some of the closer hotels near Park City at the same standard. What solved this problem being further a field was that the bus stop is right outside the hotel which accesses the 3 local ski resorts, Main Street etc… all for free, yes free!!! Walking to Main Street is a very scenic 45 min walk and would recommend taking the bus back when dark.

Hotel itself was very nice with a lovely log fire at reception where you can enjoy your coffee (stall at reception) while deciding where to eat etc... Hotel restaurant was good with plenty choices to chose from, though we would recommend getting yourself to Main Street where there are some fantastic restaurants and bars in a great setting! But there are plenty choices of restaurants all in walking distance from the hotel with maps provided at reception. Hotel bar is also a great place to meet some friendly locals with a great bartender at hand.

Rooms are your typical Marriott affair being comfortable with the usual amenities, though we did notice the door that links two rooms together, which we all hate if not traveling as a family/group, had a large gap at the floor which raised some privacy issues, but was quickly resolved by stuffing our ski bags to fill the gap For those also wanting a quieter stay we would recommend you request a room away from the swimming pool courtyard, or be prepared to listen to the kids and parents enjoying the courtyard and patio tables till 10pm.

Overall the Marriott was a very enjoyable stay with great staff, and those put off by its location shouldn’t be, as it’s ideal for catching the bus service that takes you practically anywhere you need to go while staying in Park City.

I was there last weekend of January as part of a large group for 4 nights and found the hotel to be very nice. It is not next to the ski slopes but the free shuttle buses are constantly stopping next to the hotel. Free underground parking is also very convenient.
The room had a very plush bed and a great view of Park City Mountain, it was very quiet even thou it was across from the available laundry room. Breakfast at the hotel was excellant even if service was a little slow at times. They have great lobby and a nice casual bar for quiet drinks with friends.

We chose the Marriott to use up some points so we weren't expecting too much. We've stayed in Marriotts before and they are pretty standard. A conscious effort to offer better service is what puts this Marriott in a class by itself . We were so impressed! The staff was always friendly, happy, and helpful. By the 2nd day they knew us by name. I never had to carry my own skis because there was always a bellman offering to help me. They even cleaned the snow off my car without my asking. Wow! The breakfast buffet was very good. I requested a room change because our room was on the street side and the traffic was loud. No problem, even though we were using points for most of our stay. The rooms were standard Marriott and were very clean...the entire hotel was! The ski shop was great (independently owned). Shuttle transportation was convenient. This Marriott is an example of good management and it shows.

Stayed at the Park City Marriott in Sept 08 as part of a business trip to the Salt Lake City, UT area.

After a horrific experience in Ogden, I was in need of some TLC, and I got it at the Park City.

I had originally booked a regular room, but when I realized I'd mixed up my dates, I had to rebook for the Concierge Floor - which was worth the few extra dollars.

The Concierge level rooms were delightful - my room overlooked the pool courtyard, which probably would be quite noisy during peak season, but with windows closed, I didn't hear anything from the kids who were down there...and when I went down to use the pool and spa, it was lovely and VERY clean.

The room itself was wonderful, with high thread-count linens, higher-end amenities and the most incredibly comfortable bed and furnishings. Free WiFi access was available in the room and in the Concierge Lounge.

The Concierge Lounge was also a nice perk. Free appies, desserts and non-alcoholic bevs every evening, free continental breakfast in the am, and non-alcoholic drinks available all day, self-serve. I know I saved the cost of the upgrade one night when I stayed in and nibbled while working instead of going into Park City proper.

Had an awesome experience there, from check in to check out and would most happily stay there again!
