Six of us had lunch on the terrace. The kitchen/ menu is overseen by the chef Jean George Vongerichten,so our expectations were high. The ambience was wonderful and the service was great and very friendly staff but the food was very disappointing. One ordered a pizza which was okay-not the best. The Caesar salad with chicken was very disappointing. A little bit of lettuce with 3 small strips of chicken plopped on top. No anchovies,croutons or anything - I have had better at a local diner. Vongerichten could certainly make it better.
The Caesar salads with shrimp included 3 small shrimp,no anchovies,croutons- not great lettuce. The Tuna burger was okay but I think the tuna had freezer burn- tasteless.
