if you are in Park City, you should include Talisker in your dining plans. Limited, but creative menu. The Lamb and the duck were amazing. The root vegetable soup was great. The pricing was reasonable for high cuisine as well. Overall, we will be going back on our annual Park city visits.

“What a difference a year makes”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Loved this place in 2012. But this visit had a VERY small - albeit creative - menu. Think: lamb, catch of day, duck, vegetarian, and short ribs. Portions are quite small. Although the dishes are very flavorful and delicate with beautiful presentation, we won't go back.

Perhaps owners are putting all their emphasis on their other location in The Canyons.

Note: open kitchen which I like.

Also- we ordered a half bottle of Justin Isosceles which we love. Think it was $68 which is crazy but.... Then we decided to order a 2nd half. There were no full bottles available. AFTER we finished the 2nd bottle - and it was good- we noticed , and pointed out to waiter, that there was something in the bottle. It turned out to appear to be a strip of paper about 1/4 inch wide by 3 inches long. Waiter said wow, well we could credit you. Me, being nice stupid person, said well it was good and we did drink it. SO. They did not credit us. I was kinda surprised at those prices.

“Good food, however”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

The politics of this corporation cannot be separated from the business itself. A complete disregard for wilderness and nature. Although we had always visited Talisker on our annual trip, the "rape, pillage, plunder" proposal of their corporation now has this restaurant off our list

“weird food - small portions”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We were really looking forward to trying Talisker on Main. It was recommended by several friends. We have eaten in most of the highly rated restaurants in Park City and have never been disappointed. The Talisker is the exception. The menu was odd, strange combinations and extremely small portions. We laughed off the pretentious, over-priced experience and resolved to avoid it in the future. The last laugh was on us, however. We had asked the waiter to split the bill, which came to approximately $600 for four adults and three children. We were charged not only $300 for our portion, but an additional $600. We were only presented with the $300 receipt, the rest showed up on our credit card bill. We attempted to resolve the problem through the restaurant, but our calls went unanswered and we resorted to Visa to solve the problem. The other couple paid $300 as well, making an unpleasant meal a $1200 adventure.
