I always try to stay at The Caledonian when coming to Park City. The condos are great with all ammenities and the customer service is great, always feel welcomed. Best place to stay!!!! The Location is just perfect, right on lower Main st and restaurants all around. Great Views!!! Love the Hot Tub facing Main st.

We had a wonderful stay at the Caledonian. Our family has stayed in many different Park City rentals, including some spectacular houses, but the experience of being right in the center of town and literally having the lift at your front door was new to us – and I wonder if we will ever go anywhere else after this! Our unit was a two bedroom duplex that is a very spacious, corner unit and flooded with light during the day. It has a beautiful kitchen – granite countertops, well equipped. Everything is very well maintained. The furniture and bedding, etc were not super high-end but perfectly comfortable. The hot tub on the balcony overlooking Main street was also fun – it is absolutely delightful looking out over the charming town at night. Being just steps away from any restaurant was also fabulous. Everyone on the staff is wonderfully friendly. We highly recommend the Caledonian. Barbara Bruns, Potomac, MD

The Caledonian is superb. We have been going to Park City for the last 8 years or so and have tried all kinds of locations and arrangements (house, condo, hotel room, etc.); but this was our first time staying in town and this is the choice from now on. The Caledonian’s location is frankly unbeatable. Right off the elevator is the town lift. One can ski-in or ride the lift back (until 4:30 pm), which can be extremely convenient. Our unit had two bedrooms and was very spacious. A jacuzzi overlooking Main St. was spectacular and great to relax après-ski. The kitchen had a nice area and was well-appointed -- if you like to cook. But being right in the middle of all the restaurants within walking distance…… The staff was very nice and helpful and helped us a couple of times with reservations and recommendations. All in all is great place to stay

My fiance and I were able to book a unit at the Calendonian with a private owner and were so glad to have the town lift right outside the door. You will never get any closer to the bottom of a lift at any resort anywhere. So fun to sit in the hotub among the lights along main street, although the street noise did get up there on St. Patricks day, it was very quiet otherwise. The internet was slow at times, but given that this is a vacation home it shouldn't really matter. At least it was complimentary. There was a ton of space in the 1 bedroom unit - and convenient underground parking. A coffee shop and the best restaurants directly across the street. The staff is very down to earth and accomodating, not at all stuck up or snooty like the other high end establishments around town. (I think sometimes the front desk forgets they are in Park City Utah, not Milan or Paris - sillyheads). We look foward to our next trip out there and not having to deliberate on lodging as we'll just call up Eric.

Room Tip: Rooms along main street have balconies that overlook the street, but beware of streetnoise.

When we arrived, Darshan greeted us at the front desk with a warm welcome. He was extremely helpful, efficient, kind, and very knowledgeable about the Park City area. We arrived during prime dining time, but Darshan offered to make reservations at local restaurants and named several places where we could just walk in. During our stay, Darshan secured reservations for us in restaurants that had wait times, which saved us a lot of hassle from our hungry, impatient kids! Our room was spacious, beautiful, and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located on Main Street, so everything that we needed was a short walk away. The Town Lift is right outside the door of The Caledonian, and we could be on the slopes of the Park City Mountain Resort in minutes. The bus stop to PCMR, The Canyons Resort, or Deer Valley is steps away as well. We would stay there again and have recommended The Caledonian to all our friends.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They put in a hidden clause for medical emergency insurance where you pay an extra 7% on top of your bill. It is in micro print at the bottom of your invoice. They say you need to reject the medical emergency insurance within 48 hours of reservation or they will add 7% to your bill. Absolutely ridiculous. Our whole stay was this nickel and dime nonsense. We arrived around 11PM from our flight into Salt Lake City and there was no one at the front desk. We called the help number on the display left on the front desk. The girl who answered told us to look for a hidden safe that held our key, except she didn't know where the safe was hidden. We were looking all over the lobby for this silly safe searching high and low. We finally found it and got into our room. Once we got there, the hot tub didn't work and the internet had download speeds of 30K/sec (1980s AOL dial-up speed). In the morning, I really needed to use the internet, but couldn't and wasted two hours of time trying to get it to work.

First, I would like to thank you for staying with us at The Caledonian- we truly appreciate your business. Second, I need to apologize for the issues you had with checking in and the internet. I was not aware that the check in process was such a hassle for you until I read your review. The after-hours check-in service representatives should know where the safe in the lobby is located. That is on me to get them trained and up to speed so there is little to no delay in the check in process.

The internet has never been an issue until this season and it started during the Sundance Film Festival. I have had my IT department here several times since then and they have assured me that it is working just fine for the capability of broadband we have. That being said, my goal is to completely redo and upgrade the system to be one of the best in the entire city. It is on my list and will be upgraded by next ski season if not before. There is a process of presenting it to the board of directors. They must approve it. I then will gather bids and hire a company to perform the service. It can take some time, however I assure you that the internet will be operating at the highest efficiency possible by next ski season at the latest.

I also read about the Travel Protection fee that you were charged and how you explained that it is in small lettering at the bottom of the letter. The Travel Protection Policy is titled and bolded in the same fashion as the cancellation policy. It is neither at the bottom of the letter nor printed in any smaller lettering than the rest of the letter, however I apologize that it was not discussed with you while you were staying with us. Please, in the future, come talk to us at the front desk so we can resolve your issues before you check out.

I honestly tried to help you as much as I could without re doing our entire internet system, which would not have been complete until well after your departure. I completely take the blame and apologize for the inconvenience of checking in after our front desk was closed.
