“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Service, accommodations, location, food, ambiance were all 6 star. The staff worked diligently to please all guests. Ski out the door to deer valley. The food, well simply excellent. Stay at this St. Regis and experience true luxury. I should also note Kimberly at the oatmeal bar was delightful. I don't recall the names if the valet, front desk, bartenders and housekeeping but they were superb.

“Where's the love?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The concierges have been lovely but check in leaves a lot to be desired (no explanation of butler service .. gosh, we certainly would have taken advantage of the coffee service had we known.) and one or the three guest who tried to check in early was treated with utmost suspicion and doubt. The rooms are spacious and well appointed but completly lacking any welcoming amenities - no flowers, no fruit, no wine, no water bottles until turn down service. We expected much more coddling and luxe for the price. Heck, even Westin's provide a note of welcome (yes, I'm a Starwood platinum). If you're going to spend $4,500/or 100,000 points for the weekend, spring for a private condo with gracious hosts.

Room Tip: Go for mountain view

“Sophisticated”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

We love Deer Crest. This visit was a suite #410. Beautiful & quiet. This is one of the residences....so the upgrades are wonderful. Full kitchen with oven, diswasher, fridge/freezer. Two bathrooms, and full dining area. It still has the new carpet smell and you will never hear a room door slam. Housekeeping is stealth. The turndown service is amazing.

The St Regis does everything first class....from ski valet to shuttle service throughout park city. The staff is highly trained in customer service andit shows. For us...this is a perfect "spoiled" trip. But it comes with a price. There is no access (especially after 8 p) to grab a take out snack or quick sandwich. There is just one restaurant....and it is a five star experience. We sat at the chefs table and watched the kitchen. Very interesting....and our meal was outstanding. The bar is also a step above bar or après ski style. If I were traveling with a group of gals or even families, I would probably choose a lodge or PCity setting. This is class and sophistication. Not a place where kids run the halls (but they have game and kids programs). You meet wonderful world travelers here. This is certainly a top resort for SPG.

“Prestige”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

One of the best by far! Have visited many restaurants around the world. The service along with the food were balanced with many 5 star restaurants I have visited in New York City. Cheers to the Saber ceremony at the St. Regis!

“Excellent service in a beautiful slopeside location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

My spouse, daughter and I spent five nights here during ski season. We were extremely pleased with our experience, especially the service by the staff. From a skiers perspective it was heavenly because it was true ski-in/ski-out and the ski valet made it so effortless to deal with your equipment (the biggest annoyance of skiing IMO). In addition you could buy your ski lift tickets and rent your skis right in the hotel. The staff in the ski area were very friendly and helpful. Deer Valley of course is a great mountain to ski with plenty of terrain for all levels and no snowboarders!

The hotel is up on a hill with access to the Base Lodge via funicular which is very cool. We have never seen anything like it before and we rode it many times just for fun. In this case the Base Lodge was pretty devoid of anything but lifts as the real center of the resort is higher up the mountain. However, it does provide access to frequent buses which take you to Park City for free just five minutes away (or just arrange the hotel's free shuttle service).

The interior of the hotel was a very warm contemporary style but lacks some of the mountain charm of other upscale lodges. Nevertheless we found the amenities to be great including the usual pools, hot tubs and fitness center. We rarely missed the daily hot chocolate bar and nightly s'mores. Again, the hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful often going out of their way to go the extra mile for you. The hotel bar was always hopping in the evening and was apparently a draw for non-hotel guests and locals in the area. We ate several times in the JG restaurant and felt the food was very good and competitively priced for the area (breakfast was not our favorite).

All in all it was a terrific place to relax, ski and convenient access to Park City and nearby resorts.
