Description: Sophisticated, yet approachable.. Powder at the Waldorf Astoria Park City serves a Modern Mountain Menu, with fish from Utah's fresh water lakes, beef that graze the hills of Summit County and roots, herbs and mountain flowers picked from our own backyard. As our ingredients come from the bountiful mountains and valleys of Utah, the menu changes seasonally. Dining at the Waldorf Astoria is an experience - convivial and relaxed with whimsical elements of service and quality in the ingredients and the Chef's Ryker Brown's technique.

“Had Christmas Day dinner and were disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We reserved a table quite some time ago, so we expected a good table. We were given a table that appeared to be a last minute addition in the middle of the server traffic area and next to a cold draft, with a glaring bright light that ruined the ambiance. Our first request to change tables was denied. When we requested to move to the lounge tables we were accomodated. We watched as the next group was seated at our former table and they also commented on the lighting and the draft, but stayed there.

The service from there went downhill. While the food was well prepared, two requests for beverages were forgotten and it took us 20 minutes to find someone to take our money, even though the place was only about 60% occupied.

We like the convenience for access and parking compared to downtown restaurants, but next time we will go downtown anyway.

Very nice restaurant. Waitress was very, very nice and personable. Guys were not thrilled with prices, but pleasantly surprised by the great food!

“Unimpressed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

The hostess went on and on about her personal business to the wait staff while customers were present, and then proceeded to make personal phones calls while on the clock. The tables were also dirty

“Great for dinner and breakfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Really liked it for dinner and breakfast. So so for lunch. Very good service and quality of food. Imaginative creations at dinner. Only down side is they let people order off the bar menu in the formal dining room when there are plenty of dining tables in the bar area. It was not great to drop a lot of money on dinner and smell the fish and chips the woman next to me was eating.
