“Skiing is great - rental monopoly isn't...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2014 NEW

Great skiing. I would strongly suggest never renting from Deer Valley, however. They are consistently sold-out and you will spend too much time trying to get skis / boots, etc. They also don't allow other companies on the hill to rent skis, so its a monopoly. Also, forget about eating lunch on the mountain, it is huge lines / wait times due to lack of options and no seating. Outside of those big issues, the hill, grooming, runs, and on-mountain staff are all very solid. Lift wait times are 10-15 minutes at peak hours on the popular lifts.

“Great customer care, not so great skiing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2014 NEW

Unbelievable customer care (but guess that is why it is so expensive) but skiing Xmas Day afternoon was not good.

Runs were unbelievably icy and quite dangerous due to the iciness (overgrooming?) and more like East Coast skiing with more vertical .

After skiing Brighton Deer Valley is not as good: particularly the quirky lift system that seems to always involve taking a lift after a (very) short run.

Good, but not great

“There Is None Better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2014 NEW

This is skiing at its best, but anyone thats ever been here knows that. They even seem to manage the snow ( and snowfall for sure) better than any other resort. My 14 year old daughter even gave up snowboarding at nearby Canyons so she could a day of amazing snow and skiing at Deer Valley.

“Best skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2014 NEW

Husband and I really enjoyed skiing here. I am a beginner skier, so there were many great green runs, just challenging enough. We ate at the silver lake lodge twice, food was good but pricey!

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2014

I've been fortunate enough to ski here on 5 different occasions...all of them were excellent. Without a doubt the best groomed runs I'ver ever skied...excellence in motion. The line ups at the lifts move very quick...I don't remember being frustrated with long wait times.

I've skied here when there was an extreme abundance of snow and also when they were needing more...the crew that works this place does their very best to make all experiences the best they can be.
