We stayed here because as one of the top rated in Park City, it was also the most economical for us. We had the "lowest" type of room.. 2 queens standard room. There was nothing standard about this room. Beautiful decorations, big granite countertop wet bar with small refrigerator. The bathroom had a nice jacuzzi tub and big fluffy towels and robes. The beds were comfy with enough pillows to satisfy anyone. Large screen TV and fireplace. All balconies overlook the pool area. The minute we walked into our room, it was comfortable and you felt spoiled.
The restaurant (which I guess used to be named Spruce and is now just "THE" restaurant) was wonderful. Our hostess Linda was beyond helpful and friendly. We had everything there from breakfast to a full dinner, to drinks and appetizers out on the terrace. We did not have one single thing that wasn't excellent! The chocolate torte with condensed milk vanilla ice cream is to die for!
We used the shuttle service twice. They dropped us off and picked us up at a convenient location on main street. Main Street has great shops, galleries, eateries. Definitely an enjoyable way to spend the day. The shuttle was right there when he said he would be back.
We took the shuttle to Olympic Park another other day. Unfortunately, there was no pick up at the specified time we were told, so I had to call the front desk and inquire about a ride. We had to wait another 25 minutes for a pick up and then the cute young driver was very apologetic. Other than that, no one offered an explanation as to why the scheduled shuttle was not there as we were told.
If you have a car, you have to valet it, but getting in and out is very easy there. They pull your car from close by and always offer you water and any other help needed. An easy process, not to worry over.
The pool area is beautiful with attentive workers and comfy big chairs and "beds" to lay on. Yes there were kids there swimming and making noise, but you can get far away from the pool if you want and it's not that big of a deal.
My husband said the fitness room was good, but needed a clock as he likes to time himself between reps. Other than that, he liked that they had higher lb. hand weights to use.
We did not use the Golden Door but we did go look around and it was beautiful. We belong to Massage Envy, so we drove right up the road 5 minutes and got our $44 hour massage vs. $150 at the Spa. Couldn't justify the price just for prettier walls!
We have been blessed to stay at some very nice resorts over the years. We will definitely be back here again. Park city is beautiful in the summer and the Waldorf made this quick romantic getaway a wonderful memory.
We had the least expensive room offered and it was FABULOUS! All rooms have balconies overlooking p...
