The Cayons Grand Summit offers geat admenities, location, and skiing. Ski terrain is perfect for families with moderate ski skills ... plenty of blue/green runs.

Reservation Dept is the worst I have ever dealt with! If you stay at this facility DO NOT make any modifications to your reservations : room, ski school, or other. We had changes prior to arrival to the lenght of our stay as well as modifications to ski school registration. Both were mishandled and resuted in overbilling of the room, and lost ski time due to child care/placement in confirmed ski school. To make matters worst, the staff clearly acknowledged that the mistakes were thier's based on notes on our file. No compensation for lost ski time was offered, and we are still having to call THEM to get overbilling handled.

Overall the facility is really nice... I would not recommend to a friend, but it he wanted to go I would say get your scheduled worked out prior to every calling them to book .. and once your booked DON"T CHANGE A THING ..

I think Jerry Sienfield said it best .. " They know how to take the reservation .. they just don't now how to KEEP th servation"

We had been to the Grand Summit ~ 5-6 years ago.
we stayed in a 2 queen bed room. large enough to put 2 suitcases up, not bump into each other.
While not luxurious, accommodations were everything that we could expect for a ski resort, and better than any other ski resort hotel we've stayed at except for the Four Seasons-Whistler.
Closet good size, could use a couple more hooks to hang helmets, gloves, etc.

bathroom is "ski lodge" comfy.

restaurants are associated with hotel were generally good quality food, fairly priced.... for a ski resort.

Service was excellent from front desk, housekeeping, ski valet, and servers in restaurants.

ski lift is literally <100 ft from the back door.

internet service free and good speed.

used hotel's reservation desk to discuss various "packages". they helped pick the best one for us.

We recently had a conference at the Canyons Grand Summit Resort. This is supposedly the premier property at the Canyons resort. I am a physician and attended a professional conference at the property in early February. I ski regularly at resorts across the US every year.

We were in for quite a disappointment.

We had booked a studio apartment which we were told came with a couch, fireplace and kitchenette. On arrival there was no one to help with the bags and not even a cart to assist in getting our bags up to our rooms (hence, three trips up and down from the 5th floor). There was also nowhere to put our skis and those too had to go to our room.

The room was horrible!!! It was a small Motel 6 hotel room with a twin futon crammed in by the window and barely space to walk. No fireplace, no couch, 27inch crappy TV on the wall and virtually no decor. The mirror and wall art came off the Walmart clearance rack. My college dorm room would have been preferrable.

We complained to the front desk. We were received with little sympathy. Over the next few days the room was not attended to by the cleaning staff and we had to call at 5 or 6pm to get simple towels and toilet paper. The DVD didn't work and when we tried to have someone attend to that issue...no luck.

Most of note, we had friends staying at "cheaper" properties within Canyons which we visited that were actually beautiful and would have been much cheaper to stay in.

The only redeeming thing about the property was the mountain. A huge swath of terrain and great grooming. A very good ski school as well.

I will be influencing my society to choose a different site when coming to Utah in the future. This is not the place to spend your vacation dollar in the Park City area.

The staff was incredible during our stay. It felt like a Ritz Experience.anything we need, we simply had to ask for. We knew it would be great just by the reception we received by the Bell Staff. The front desk was great too. Great snow too. One minor glitch in housekeeping, resolved by manager quickly with a nice note and a fruit platter.. We will return.
