“Park Plaza Resort, Park City, Utah - Review”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Park Plaza is a beautifully maintained boutique resort, with very friendly helpful staff. It is a three story building located across the street from The Grub Steak (a favorite restaurant)! My favorite unit is the two bedroom, full three bath unit that comes with a kitchen, dinning area, living room and fireplace. It has a large indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and work out room. It is a close drive to Main Street and all major ski areas. It has recently been upgraded, granite counter tops, new faucets, new flat screen TV's mounted to the walls, TV's are in all bedrooms and the living room. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again!

Room Tip: I like the one or two bedroom units on the third floor they have a high ceiling.

The suites are spacious, yet cozy. Clean and comfortable. We were kept awake by the people staying in the room above ours, as the floors squeaked with every footstep. Located close to everything but not within walking distance. Parking is limited.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor will be quieter than the ones below.

We traded into this resort through RCI .It seems that every time we go to a resort through RCI we manage to get a unit that has not been upgraded. The 2 bedroom units are large and for the post part nicely furnished except for the appliances that were probably 20 years old. The front of the microwave was cracked and the handle to the dishwasher was missing. Also the counter top in the half bath was cracked. They said it was within walking distance to downtown but 2 miles is not close, especially with no sidewalks. The common area was very nice and the staff was excellent; as friendly and helpful as anywhere we have stayed. Also our view was someone's back yard so sitting on the deck was no comfortable

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded unit or room. They are there.

Dear Debbie T,

Thank you for submitting a review. Our appliances are replaced every 6 years. Your room that you stayed in has not yet been renovated but it will be renovated in November. The countertops will be removed and we will put granite in it's place. New appliances are scheduled as well.

We are sorry we could not meet all of your expectations but we are confident when you return you will be delighted with the new rooms.

Safe Travels.

Kind Regards,

Hannah Zulueta
And your Park Plaza Resort Team.

This is a very well maintained property with numerous amenities. Not only that, but it is located in an area with an assortment of outdoor activities. Beautiful, beautiful area. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable.

Room Tip: Many good restaurants located nearby - several within walking distance.

I exchanged thru Interval Exchange for this resort for a week...I was very disappointed even though we had a two bedroom/three bath.. We were on the bottom floor so we heard all the footsteps from above and it was noisy (all day/night)..Our outside area had two plastic cheap chairs that looked at a fence that was about 12 feet away which was adjacent to a local neighborhood...Our unit did not have laundry facilities but you could do laundry in the garage basement. Just didn't feel safe down there. The front staff was very nice except one woman when checking in did not like the fact that I stated the place was so small and not what I expected from a timeshare exchange.. The resort itself is very quiet and quite boring. If you want to relax this is the place to go but ask for the top floor or don't plan on sleeping if you have anyone above you. We will not be back.

We just spent the best week ever. If feels like home, the accommodations and staff are outstanding we can't wait to go back. The weather was great cool in the evenings and mornings.
We love all the amenities of the rooms, I enjoy cooking and it is great to be able to take advantage of the kitchen while there.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Park Plaza Resort. I found this place thanks to Trip Advisor reviews and scored a great value deal (being summer time) with the added bonus of a $20 gift card for Fuego's Italian Restaurant across the road upon check-in (see their website for latest deals). We received great service from Kwadwo upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised by the standard and size of the recently renovated room, with balcony. It seems we were upgraded from the regular Junior Studio Efficiency to a larger one with balcony which looked across the road to the mountain. Nice! Very well appointed, spacious for the two of us. Great mini kitchen facility with everything we needed. Comfortable bed and pillow. We really enjoyed our stay, including the hot tub, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Free coffee, fruity waters and Chlorophyll water also in the lobby. Nice selection of quality toiletries in the bathroom too. Hotel was in a great, convenient location - we walked in to Main Street on day 1 (about 25 mins) and later that day caught the FREE bus back to the hotel (bus stop right across the road). That evening we took the bus to Deer Valley Resort and back again (all free) for the Jewel Concert. We walked less than the people who drove and had to deal with the traffic and trek from the parking lot! Undercover parking for our car was great too. Really great value for money - we would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room farther away from the pool/spa if you don't want to be disturbed by users
