“Pleasantly Surprised!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

I was so impressed at the level of comfort and amenities offered. They did not skimp on anything. It was quality I have come to expect only from boutiques, but there it was- Fully stocked kitchen, great furnishings- and they are already renovating BEFORE anything has a chance to show any wear. For me, it is all the little things that made it feel luxurious- hot water in the shower right away and with great pressure, the elevator responding immediately every time- smooth and fast (so hard to find!). They provided high end coffee in the unit, but we don't drink coffee, so I felt really included when I saw the hot cocoa (you would be surprised how many places don't have it) and popcorn as well. I was also there during the parking lot renovation, but had no problem at all. The most impressive feature is the beautiful brick-lined pool and spa in the center of the building. The lighting is so nice, it could be successful as a meditation pool, but it is also perfectly heated and the best part- no chlorine smell! I am not sure how they do it, but even with the pool in the middle of the building, it does not make the air muggy or smelly. The pool area also has nice scenery and muted acoustics from the architecture and a great bbq patio that make it very pleasant indeed. The assistant manager helped us choose from the best activities in the area. I also must rave about the organic snow cones in the drive-up shack down the road- must have!

Room Tip: The ground floor is nice since the patio opens onto a grassy lawn area.

Dear Boutique Traveler,

We're happy you enjoyed the small amenities like hot cocoa and popcorn. We know our guests like to relax in their suites and with the living room space, and kitchens, it made sense to do what we could to help you enjoy your stay more.

Thank you so much for your kind words and we would love to have you back the next time you are in Park City.

Kind Regards,

Hannah Zulueta and the Park Plaza Team!

“My Dog And I Loved It!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

The Park Plaza is a well appointed, uber comfortable, nicely located hotel. Joel and his staff are gracious and accomadating. I stayed four nights with my dog and we both couldn't have been happier. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Get something with a balcony facing the mountain.

“Be Up Front With Your Guests!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

We arrived at the Park Plaza Resort on September 1, 2012. Unknown to us at this time was the fact that there was major construction going on in and around the resort. Rooms were being renovated, the driveway to the underground parking facility was being ripped up, and the noise level was high. The General Manager informed us of this upon check-in. There was no effort to try and place us in a "quieter" room until both my husband and I got more and more adamant. You could not upgrade, as the upgrades were the rooms being renovated, so we opted for the furthest room away, which was really impossible because construction was being done in all four corners of the resort. There was no escaping the work noise. To add to this frustration was their decision to park their shuttle, which was advertised as their personal transportation to their guests to get around town, in the underground parking facility which was under construction. The shuttle van was trapped! RCI was notified on August 31, 2012 about this renovation, when in reality, according to the guests we encountered, had been going on for weeks. The situation became personal because we had personally discussed our stay with the General Manager two weeks prior to the trip. We were told nothing. In short, had we known about this when we booked on January 9, 2012, we would not have gone.

Giving us daily towel exchanges did not make up for not being up front with your guests. Shame on you!!!

Room Tip: Wait till construction is over, whenever that is.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are very sorry you did not have a good experience due to the noise caused during our renovation. It is also very unfortunate you were not aware. We have notified all our partner, travel agents about the upgrades to our resort. I do apologize - in January we did not know that we were going to re-do the driveway and the exact dates of the renovation but we should have related that during our call two weeks prior to your arrival.

We have a three year renovation taking place to upgrade all of our suites. The renovation is from September through the first week of November in 2012, 2013, and 2014. The noisy work is done from 8:30am to 5pm each day. The first two weeks will be the loudest when the tile is being removed. Unfortunately you happened to be with us during the time that the tile work was being done.

This year we are upgrading all of our Junior Efficiency Suites, also known as our studios or hotel rooms. Additionally each of these rooms connect to a 1 bedroom or in two cases, a 2 bedroom. In this way if these rooms are reserved together and guests want to have larger accommodations the rooms will have been upgraded the same time. In 2013 we plan to upgrade some of our mini suites and two bedroom units focusing on the ground floor and part of the 2nd floor. In the fall of 2014 we will upgrade the rest of the units.

We are extremely excited about what the rooms will look like after the renovations are complete.

Again we apologize we did not notify you in time. We have re communicated the renovation plans with all our travel partners to ensure they notify all guests of Park Plaza. If you would be interested in additional news about the upgrades and schedules our front desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can go over any additional question.

We hope you will come back to Park Plaza. We would love to have you come back and enjoy one of our newly upgraded units.

The Park Plaza Team.

“Steady, consistently pleasant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

This trip I was in unit 106 which was on the ground floor, and I enjoyed sitting on my balcony a few times early evening. Park City is beautiful in the summer. This time I had a Mini Suite, and it was perfect, everything in one room, with the full kitchen and bath.

Loved the Manager's Wine and Cheese and made friends who lived in Pocatello Idaho, of all spots!

Damir and Kwadwo were excellent as usual.

Room Tip: Ground Floor Units in front of building are nice, and very convenient. This property is surprisingl...
