“Very nice and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2009

The hotel is in a nice location, close to everything. We were upgraded to a bigger suite that was newly remodeled, just for the heck of it. It was very nice! The staff was very friendly. The fireplace was a nice touch. We liked the bath robes that they let us use during our stay. The only problems that we ran into was that the brochures they gave about the sites to see and restaurants weren't up to date. Many of the restaurants were closed due to the time of the season, as well as many of the sites to see. It would have been nice to know this. It would have saved us a lot of driving trips. Also the fitness center isn't really a fitness center. It only had a few machines that didn't work that well. Overall though it was a nice place to stay and get away.

It was a good trip. Hotel was very convenient to everywhere. We rented a car but there were free shuttle busses to ski area. Hotel was in a little mall. You can eat subway or taco. Across the street, there are Starbucks, bakery, Mexican restaurant, vs. On Kearns blvd, there is a market and prices are affordable. We have a little kitchen, and breakfast wasn't a problem. If you want you can go to main st. which is very close. There are restaurant and cafes.
First night the guy at front desk gave us a room that heater was broken. We arrived at 9.30 pm. After 11.00 pm , there were nobody in front desk. It was a freezing night. In the morning, the girl named Tati or Tani explained that there is a building problem and they are trying to fix it. When we came back at 5.00 pm, after ski we were very tired and cold; it wasn't fixed. Maintanence guy, NIKKU, came and explained that the problem wasn't new, and there are only two rooms like that. Obviously she lied us and try to fool us. Nikku helped us and we changed the room. He came several time to check that everything is OK. He was a great guy and we are thankful to him.
Any of cleaning ladies can speak English and you can't contact with them. We did not receive any room service but it wasn't big deal. Because we weren't at the room all day. We had enough towels and other materials.
Except that night and that girl, It was a wonderful ski trip for our family.

We came here for Sundance and the location for the festival was great! Near many of the theatres, near the Albertson's, near all bus routes.

The rooms were clean, but beware--the half bedroom does have two bunks but it doesn't have a door. Not a big deal if you have kids, but we grown ups could have used the door (didn't mind that it was small!) Also, they only picked up the trash once in 7 days, which is way too long when you have a kitchen--and we did use the kitchen.

But on the plus side it was quiet, clean, and the staff was friendly. The hotel's shuttle bus took us anywhere we needed to go and it would pick us up again. The hot tub could have been hotter, but we may have been the only ones who cared about that. We'd certainly stay again.

  • Liked — location; shuttle service; nice staff
  • Disliked — needs better maid service; no door on 2nd small bedroom;

If you're not looking to stay right near Main st, this is a great alternative. The price is a bit lower than many of the other mega resorts up there with a lot of the same amenities. Shuttle service throughout the day was nice, they would come pick you up or drop you off wherever you wanted until 11:30pm, which came in handy quite often (free of charge). Internet in the room was slow but worked. Two big screen HD TVs also added to the experience. The room was not particularly large, 1 master bed and bath, and one very small cubby room with bunk beds and another bath. The living room was decent sized, small kitchen, a few appliances. It's basically a mini-apartment. The balcony and view out the window was wonderful though.

Coffee and tea 24 hours in the lobby was a plus. Best of all was the indoor heated jacuzzi and pool area, with refreshing pool and large, relaxing whilpool jacuzzi. There is also a fitness center though we didn't make it over there. Our stay was quite comfortable here.

  • Liked — Location, Spa and Pool, Shuttle service
  • Disliked — Pricey, Internet, a bit run down for park city...

Our family of 5 visited this property for Christmas week. We found the staff to be very helpful and the amenities clean and in good working order. Despite the 18" of snow that fell in 2 days the lobby was cleaned regularly and their free shuttle service was willing to take us anywhere. Housekeeping requests were answered promptly (need more firewood! it appeared!). The spa was used regularly by 2 of our party and they loved it after skiing and freezing all day. Those of us who did not ski were within walking (or shuttle) distance of places to shop, eat and explore.

My only suggestion would be for a group of 5 to book a 2-bedroom, not a 1 1/2 bedroom as we had. Master suite had own bath and there was another full bath in the hall used by the other 3 people. Problem was, the couple who slept on the fold-out couch and the child in the bunk room had to use the coat closet as there wasn't enough space for gear and winter garb. I recommend this hotel. Not fancy but very nice.

  • Liked — View of mountains, location near city center, free transportation
  • Disliked — We didn't have enough space for all our winter gear.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Park Regency. We found the staff very helpful, especially with where and what to see. We had a 2 BR/2 Bath Unit which was very comfortable and nicely decorated but the hotel itself needs some fine tuning!
We were on 3rd floor and we had to let the water run for about 10 minutes before we got hot water. But when it came it was hot!
Also we are not use to having to take out our own garbage on vacation. The only time they took it or came by was on their once a week cleaning day! Also we stayed 7 nights (5 people) and only had clean towels also on the cleaning day! Alittle long to go using same towels. Also the carpets really could stand to be cleaned ( our feet and socks were black from walking on them).

The Regency is a very nice place - we enjoyed it there because the location was terrific and the staff was ready to help. Just needs a few tweeks,

I've stayed at the Park Regency for 2 years in a row now. The hotel is in a great location. It's not high on frill or amenties, but it's perfect for a boys skiing trip. If you're bringing the ladies, you may want to look somewhere else.

The hot tub and pool areas are great and covered to keep out the snow, the rooms themselves are large. We've stayed in the "2" bedroom suites which can easily fit 4 or 5 guys without having to double anyone up in a bed.

I'd recommend to guys or couples who are on a budget or don't mind no frills.
