“Perfect location for Park City, Utah visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

This Hampton Inn was exactly in the right location for our visit. Our kids lived 1/2 mile away, it was convenient to the Kimball Junction corridor with restaurants and shopping and it was a very short drive to Park City for more restaurants and shopping.

We spent four nights at this hotel. The hotel is situated right off I-80 about 4-5 miles from Park City proper. The room including the bathroom was very clean. The beds were comfortable as was the big easy chair. Breakfast was very good the food was well presented and the dining area was very clean and well maintained. There is a Ruby Tuesdays on the other end of the parking lot. We dined there one night but the food was not that good. We found a nice restaurant called Maxwell's which serves a variety of Italian dishes, great food & atmosphere. Two doors from Maxwell's is a Bakery/Restaurant called Kneader's which has good coffee, baked goods as well as sandwiches and breakfast items. Ask the hotel staff for directions to Maxwell's which is located in area about a mile away called Redstone. We would stay here again & would recommend this hotel to others.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hampton Inn in Park City as an anniversary getaway. The hotel is right next to the shopping outlets if that is your thing and Park City itself is a mere five miles up the road.

No problems at check-in, although the staff wasn't overly friendly or outgoing (as pointed out in a previous review). Our room, on the third floor, was clean and very comfortable with a mini-kitchen (cooktop, full-sized fridge, microwave, and dishwasher), a living-room type area, and a separate bedroom. My wife and I were looking for a couple of days where we could just "do nothing" and we did just that - this hotel has a great selection of TV channels which allowed us to just hang out and enjoy each other's company.

Our biggest issue wasn't with the hotel itself, but was, instead with some of the guests. We could hear kids running up and down the hallways on our first night and upstairs in the room above us, the guests sounded like a herd of elephants, which didn't stop until about 10:30pm. At one point, my wife wanted a soda out of the vending machine and when I walked out of the room, a young toddler tried walking in - no parents in sight! I have four children of my own, and if there's anything I've emphasized when staying in a hotel it is that you do not want to be the "jerks" who disturb the other guests - you don't run down the halls, you don't roam endlessly, and as the parent, you keep an eye on your children. Management can only do so much.

Having said the above, our second day was much quieter and we would return to this hotel for another stay.

Room Tip: If you're noise sensitive, I'd suggest trying to get a room on the 4th floor. However, be c...

First of all, Happy Anniversary. We appreciate your choosing our property to stay at during your special occassion. We apologize for the noise and disturbance in the late evening hours. It is my understanding that our front desk staff went up to speak with the families involved. We try to alleviate these problems the best we can with the guests involved. We hope that you and your wife will come stay with us again.

This was a basic Hampton located conveniently to the Olympic Park and outlet malls. Park City is just a short drive from the hotel. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels, sweet rolls, fruit mix, fresh fruit, yogurt, and make-your-own waffles. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. (We were on the 4th floor.)

When we checked in, the staff did their job, but were just going through motions--barely looked at us through the process. The next morning I called to see about getting a late checkout time (with Hilton Honors) and was told they would need to check and call me back. FORTY minutes later they called to say it would be ok. Glad we called early while we were getting ready. When we got back (before normal checkout time) our room keys didn't work and we had to go back down to the front desk to get one rekeyed to get into our room.

Overnight stay while traveling through Utah found this hotel to be a good find. Usual amenities for a Hampton, yet nestled into a hillside in the Park City ski area made for a pleasant stay, away from noise, but convenient to eating, gas stations , etc at the shopping mall located at the bottom of the hill. Only 5min from RT 80

It is very challenging for me to write a review for this hotel. The staffs were responsible for the problems I reported, but failed to fulfill them. My son found there were disgusting animal hairs all over the desk chair. He was cleaning it while I reported this problem to the front desk. The friendly staff delivered an even dirty chair (no animal hair though) to replace the one at our room. Since my son has almost done the cleanup with hand, I rejected to replace that one with this dirty chair. Later we found the hair dryer could only be used at low fan condition and asked for a working one. The staff sent another one which didn't even work. My allergy symptom was on later at night and was bothering me the next day. As the staff told us, they can not take control of the quests sneakily brought their pets. But they can do deep clean to make sure the next quests to have a nice stay.

We stayed overnight for my daughter's 16th birthday party and she brought a few friends. We had lots of fun and were very pleased with the Hotel & staff. Room was clean and we enjoyed the suite. It was nice to have a separate room for the girls and a kitchen for our night time snacks.
