Owner description: Discover Park City's history at the Park City Museum on Historic Main Street. Prospectors discovered silver in 1868 in the area that soon after became Park City. Mine owners made fortunes, while thousands of miners simply made a living. After silver prices declined, Park City reinvented itself as a ski resort town. Interactive displays tell the Park City story in an engaging manner. Fun for the whole family! Open 7 days a week (Mon-Sat 10-7, Sun 12-6).

“Don't judge a book by its cover...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Inside this quaint little storefront museum packs a half day worth of interest and fun. It is interactive and very creative. The jail in the basement must be seen. The tour is self guided and the staff is excellent. The history of the hippies vs. the silver miners is very entertaining. Great value.

“Cute small town museum with great visiting display from the Smithsonian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

I thought the museum was well put together with interesting displays depicting the timeline that is Park City. I would recommend a stop in here. One of the highlights is the talking book in the dungeon!

Enjoyed learning about PC history. Great recently updated venue. Stumbled upon it as we were strolling Main Street.

“Small but wonderful museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

This visit takes about 45 minutes but can take up to 3 hours if
you soak it all in. Tickets cost $10 for adults with half price for visitors over 65. Children are $5 but that can include a surprise
at the end -so ask at the counter for how that works. A guide provides an overview but then you are on your own to move through the exhibits at your own pace. Lots of signage and well laid out exhibits including some that are interactive make the rich history of Park City come alive. Located in the heart of old town Park City, there are lots of other things to see and do but be sure to leave some time for this museum.
