“Good Old Fashioned FUN!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

Lines moved quickly. System worked great. Fun for everyone in the group. It's an annual tradition, this is how we "get winter started." Young and old, everyone is having a great time tubing. The Warming Yerts are a welcome surprise too.

“Couldn't stop smiling!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

We just left Gorgoza Park a few hours ago and can't wait to go back. What a blast! We have 2 kids -- 6-year-old boy and 3 1/2-year-old girl -- and we had to drag both of them away (promising that we would be back later in the week).

We loved Gorgoza. The snowfall has been very light thus far, but Gorgoza has several snow-making machines and there was plenty of snow for the tubing runs, mini snow mobile track and kids play area. We took advantage of all 3 activities, opting for the 2-hour tubing passes ($78 for the 4 of us, which included access to the small kids' play area) and paying for just my son to do the mini snow mobiling ($10 for 10 laps, or about 10 minutes). Not cheap, but money well spent.

There are two different tubing levels (meaning heights up the hill), with the higher level reserved for those who are 42" or taller. For the lower level, there is an inclined conveyor belt where you stand and hold your tube as it slowly takes you up the hill. Very user-friendly and easy for the little ones to handle. Everyone hops off at the same point and can either opt for the lower level runs on your right (3 of them) or walk 20 yards and then let the next conveyor (this time, you sit in your tube while you are pulled up the hill by the conveyor) take you up to the higher level runs (I think there were 4 of them). We alternated with our kids between the two levels most of the time, and also did a couple of runs with all 4 of us. It really was a lot of fun, and my kids were smiling and laughing the whole time.

As for the play area, it is small and is really geared toward very little ones. There were a couple of small hills for tubing here, too, which turned out to be a big hit.

Finally, the mini snow mobiling made a huge impression on my son. They are real snow mobiles, though small and with a very safe speed governor. The kids can go around a small track that is surrounded by snow embankments -- thus, no risk of steering off the track. For 10 bucks, this was just one of those memory-creating moments that you shouldn't pass up.

The only negative I could say about Gorgoza is that you can't get there via the free bus transit, which means you either need to drive or take a cab. Not the worst thing in the world, but worth mentioning.

Bottom line -- this is a great family destination and I highly recommend it.

“so fun went back twice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

I went to the park with my wife and 3 year old son and we all had a great time. As the other reviews stated, wear your snow pant and boots because you will need them for the tubing. To cut down on the amount of people in the park we went during dinner time. My son loved going up the slide with us, which was a mistake because, he did not want to go in the kiddy area after that because the hill was too small, so I will start there when we go back next year. They have places to go inside to warm up and we kept our cups and got refills of hot chocolate.

“A great family fun place to go tubing right outside Park City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2011

This place is great fun for those who don't want to ski. Tubing runs are pretty long and quite fast. Very well run with efficient service and nice options for younger children. About 20 minutes from Main street. A must for a casual, family day of fun in tne snow!
