“A warm and cosy haven in a winter wonderland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2009

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we pulled up. Jerry and Jan have worked hard to create a comfortable and unique place to unwind. The Log Cabin was a cut above. Well appointed with just enough conveniences for a rustic home away from home. A short drive to the Bryce Canyon turn off and clearly superior to any of the other accom we passed on our way to the Canyon. Where else would you get warm homemade cookies delivered to the door! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed in the log cabin at the Cottonwood Meadow Lodge for 3 nights. It was the perfect getaway! The place is breathtakingly beautiful - horses in the front yard and nothing but BLM land in the back. The Sevier river runs right through the property and is clear and full of fish! Jan and Jesse (the innkeepers) have made the cabin so warm and welcoming. The pictures do not do it justice. The labrador retriever, Jesse, visited us every morning and Kiki the cat visited every afternoon. The warm cookies Jan brought us at the end of the day were the perfect treat. We cooked in the cabin every day, although there are plenty of places nearby in Panguitch to have dinner. The setting was romantic and peaceful, and we hated to leave!

We, 3 adults and 2 teenagers, stayed three nights in the Farmhouse at the Cottonwood in June. This place looks exactly like the pictures on the internet, beautiful scenery and magazine worthy decor. Jerry and Jan who manage the place are kind and hospitable and their golden lab Jesse is a sweetheart. Jan brought us homemade cookies two of the nights and they were the best my daughter proclaims that she has ever had. The lodging is about a 25 minute drive from Bryce Canyon which when I originally booked concerned me, but now having stayed there I can tell you that the drive is beautiful and by being located near Panguitch and Hatch you give yourself some other dining options that you don't have at Ruby's Inn (which is really the only place to eat if you stay there). We ate at the Smokehouse in Panguitch and their cobblers and pecan pie are amazing. We also ate at the Adobe Cafe in Hatch and the mexican food was great! My family liked the opportunity at the farmhouse to wander down to the pond and hike around the property, feed the horses and play with Jesse. They have an internet connection that you can get from the front porch of the farmhouse or inside if your computer is really good. I definitely recommend the Bryce Ranger moonlight hike if you are there for it and do the 2 hour horse ride into Bryce, but be sure to make reservations ahead of time. We loved Bryce and I know it was in large measure due to Jerry and Jan and the Cottonwood Meadow!
