I must say that except for a few "sample defects," like the ironing board rack that wouldn't stay hooked to the wall...the iron kept falling off in the middle of the night (more on that later), this was by far the best hotel I've stayed in for less than $60 (our special internet price for the week was just over $58/night). Heck, it was better than anything I have stayed in for less than $90, close to the interstate, and everything else in Orem, yet off the main roads.
Except for one problem.
I will say this would not have been a problem were I there on a business trip as I usually am, since most of my business trips require me to head out before or within minutes after the usual 6:30 am start of most free breakfasts (which was also better than most, especially at the under $90 price). But this time I was on vacation...sort of. Had to work late hours (from the room), and my wife was sick the first few days, so it would have been REALLY nice to sleep in a bit, but we couldn't...at least not in the mornings because of the cleaning staff YELLING in shrill voices "HOUSEKEEPING" more than once at every door in our hallway, except ours because we had the DO NOT DISTURB sign up. We are in the habit of only troubling hotels for cleaning every three days or so, but no matter, WE were disturbed anyway from a distance...before 8am EVERY morning. It was REALLY annoying. We found out why they did this so early later in the week when we asked at 9:30 am if someone could make up the room and it was TOO LATE...apparently they use contractors and they normally leave at 10...at least an hour before checkout time (can't remember if checkout was 11 or 12). Never heard of such a thing!!
So then, on the day we checked out ON TIME mind you, we had two people waiting outside our room for us to get out of the way...looking at their watches...annoyed. WE were following the rules and getting out of the room by checkout time. THAT was very annoying, too.
The staff was otherwise quite good, and nice, especially the young man sometimes at the desk and the ladies who set up the food for breakfast. Except I did NOT like the look of distrust I got from the manager when THEY couldn't find the non-working iron I turned in for a replacement a few days before we left (it had probably fallen on the floor too many times). Luckily, one of the other workers remembered that I had turned it in before I was given the replacement.
So, all in all, a nice place, but a few problems with our stay, the worst being...you can't sleep in, at least not on the first floor.
Find out which floor they clean last...maybe you'll be able to sleep in until 8 or 9 if you need...

Thanks for writing a review, but it looks like you might have us mixed up with another hotel. Our housekeeping isn't scheduled to arrive until 9am. And they aren’t actually contracted; they are employed by our management and scheduled here til two in the afternoon. However in light of this review we have addressed the situation to ensure the best possible comfort for our guests. Thanks for staying at our location, we looking forward to seeing you again!
