“A Jewel near Zion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My husband and I took a trip to Utah and stayed at a cabin at Arrowhead Country Inn. It is in a small town of Mount Carmel, but the area is beautiful at the base of colorful mountains. The cabin was one of 5, and was nearly new, built by the owner's son. It was decorated so country quaint with quilt on the bed. It had a good size bathroom and small fridge. Perfect location near Cedar Breaks, Zion, Bryce and Coral Pink Sands. The Main House also had rooms to stay in as well. The log cabin main house had a sunken living room with sculpted pieces of cowboy art that Jane the innkeepers wife made. She is very talented. It also had antiques such as piano and furniture. The breakfast room was bright and cheerful with a stone fireplace as a focal point. The full breakfast was delicious...eggs, waffles, sausage, coffee, fruit, bagels etc. The innkeeper greeted us and was very cordial. They also had a pool and jacuzzi which I enjoyed at the end of the long days of hiking in the 119 degree heat. What a wonderful place, so relaxing and safe. They even had a corral with friendly horses that came up to the fence to be petted. We would definitely go again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Room Tip: Ask for the Piney Cabin and remember to have the big breakfast there!

On arrival we were automatically upgraded to the yellow rose suite, a wonderful room in this b & b. The room was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in with a most luxurious bathroom, a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Zion canyon is about 20 minutes drive away; Bryce perhaps an hour or so, Cedar Breaks, a similar distance, Page a bit more than an hour and even the Grand Canyon is visitable in a day. We only stayed one night but there is a strong argument for staying several nights here. The two motels a short drive away at Carmel junction provide reasonable meals.

We stayed in a cabin and loved it. We had the privacy of a cabin and the food of a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful! Great variety. Loved it! great place to stay. I highly recommend it.
Plus we had free WiFi at the cabin.

Room Tip: Loved the cabin.

Perfectly suited for exploring the southern Utah area, from the nearby Bryce Canyon and Zion parks to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Cabins are clean and have all the amenities you'd like, or you can stay in a room in the main house instead. Breakfasts are fabulous! The place has horses, chickens and other animals, and a great range of suggested activities. A very popular place with foreign tourists too. This is small-town territory, so there are very few nearby restaurants... but you're out here for the parks and the wilderness.

Room Tip: Willow and Juniper cabins are next to the highway. Garden, Orchard, Piney and Cottonwood are set in...

We visited southern Utah for 5 days at the end of September. Our plan was to split our time between Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks. We wanted to stay somewhere a little more rustic than a hotel/motel and looked for a place that had cabins. Arrowhead is the perfect location for visiting both parks - about 45 minutes to the Visitors Center at Zion and less than an hour an a half to get to Bryce.

We stayed in the Orchard Cabin and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Orchard Cabin offers a king bed, bathroom, sink/microwave/refrigerator kitchenette, dining table, couch, and DirecTV. (free WiFi is available in the main house) After long days of hiking, climbing, and sightseeing, coming "home" to our cabin was always a pleasure. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. The rooms had AC if needed, as well as ceiling fans. Orchard also included a wood burning fireplace that I had hoped to use, but it was just too warm most nights.

There are many things I enjoyed about Arrowhead, but my favorites are as follows - great backdrop behind the property with gorgeous mountains, the animals on the property - specifically the cat that slept on our porch swing (always greeting us on our return), the unbelievable home video collection in the basement of the main house, and last, but not least - Jane's daily breakfast. The food was all fantastic and I looked forward to going back each day. Breakfast also gave us an opportunity to meet other guests and hear about their experiences in the parks. If we visit the area again, we will be sure to go back to Arrowhead.

What a wonderful place. We stayed six nights in Piney Cabin. The word "cabin" doesn't do it justice since it is a modern one room building with an up scale bathroom, kitchen area, Direct TV, A/C, ceiling fan and it's own front porch complete with chairs and table. We found the Arrowhead Country Inn & Cabins to be quiet and homey. The perfect location for exploring Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon's North Rim. The Inn provided a binder of directions and suggestions of places to visit. If you read any other reviews, then you know about the breakfasts.Fabulous food in a friendly environment. Thanks so much.

Room Tip: Piney Cabin is towards the back of the property - therefore maybe a little quieter but still close t...

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at Arrowhead Inn during our exploration of the National Parks in Utah. Jane and Jim were very accommodating. Jane offered directions and a map of the parks and recommended areas tourist books do not cover. We were spoiled by the "Vacation Food" breakfasts we enjoyed every morning. The breakfasts carried us to dinner with a just few snacks in between. We stayed in Yellow Rose Room which had a great view and offered a queen sized bed and a pull out. The pull out was not very comfortable but OK since we traded after two days. The bathroom was large and had two sinks which made dressing in the morning much easier for two women. It was nice and quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying a glass of wine. We wished we would have had enough time to explore the surrounding area. Arrowhead was a gem and we would love to return some day. My only hope would be that the old carpet and pull out be replaced with new.

Room Tip: We enjoyed staying in the main house right next to the dining area. I can still smell the bacon. V...
