“Excellent but very expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

The restaurant has a beautiful location in Zion Mountain Ranch on the other side of Zion crowded main entrance. The food as great fresh produces and the chef is very creative : we loved the forage Caesar salad and th Southwestern salad for their unusual and very good combination of flavors. But there is a lot of "but" : in such a bison ranch you can only get the very expensive bison filet (more than 40$ !!!) or the bison burger : no other bison meat, the dishes are very expensive for the region, and you want to bring a sweater as you eat in a refrigerator like atmosphere due to an unbalanced air conditionning. Nice service

“Best food near Zion National Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

We stumbled upon this restaurant after several failed attempts of trying to find a place to eat near Zion that didn't look like a complete dump. The scenery was beautiful and the whole atmosphere was charming. The prices were a little higher than what we were looking for but the food was well beyond anything we were expecting. My nephew ordered a grilled cheese from the child menu and it was absolutely delicious! My food was great and the bison burger was also delicious. The restaurant was very accommodating for our large group and very polite. I would definitely go back with just my husband for a quiet, picturesque, delicious meal.

“Awful, awful, awful”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Daughter ordered grilled vegetables as side - son had same as part of his $24+ meal - both were punny, with unidentifiable items. One piece, of what we think might have been an asparagus spear in another life looked like a shriveled up piece of grass! Waitress virtually ignored our table.....

“good food, but nickel and dimed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

There were 10 of us in our party(5 preteens, 5 adults) and we had made a reservation for 6pm. The place was empty when we got there(it did fill up later). The menu prices varied from sensible to ridiculous - as in 9.00 to add chicken or shrimp to an average size salad, and 47.00 for an elk chop. One of us did order the elk chop with 2 sides(which the other entrees came with), only to find out when the bill came that the sides were 9.00 extra - making the dinner actually 57.00!! Were they going to serve only the somewhat overcooked chop alone on the plate? Another of us was charged 3.50 to substitute mashed for fries - even though they were the same price on the sides menu! Our bill was over 450.00, yet they also charged 50 cents for a small vial of horseradish!!! Also, one asked for a lime in her soda and was told there was only lemon, then another person ordered a corona - which came with a lime slice!! The service was painfully slow, but we were having fun and the kids went to the gift shop and outside so it didn't matter, however, we ordered dessert and it took as long as the dinner did to be served. By this time people who had later reservations and were waiting were glaring at us. We wondered if some of the back-up occurred because at 6:20 the chef sat down in the waiting area next to us to speak to people inquiring about holding a wedding there - what an odd time to do this! At the end of 2 hours, our waitress said she could not split the bill in half between 2 credit cards - I think she did not know how. She finally figured it out! Now, aside from this, the food was very good, the place was quaint, and watching the buffalo, chickens, and horses outside was entertaining. We just found the extra charges very annoying.
