“Friendly servers, decent food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We ate dinner and breakfast here. Servers were friendly and service was on the slow side. Steak dinners were good, not great. Was happy to have the salad bar but upon closer inspection, many of the items did not look fresh. I found out why the next morning when at breakfast, I saw the salad bar items were still in place and covered with plastic wrap. Each item should be wrapped individually and put in the walk in cooler overnight. So beware of the salad bar. Anyway, had the MV omelette, basically a Western omelette with a green chili sauce over it. That was excellent.

“Limited choice but good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

There is not a lot of places to eat around if you dont have a room with kitchen.
I had the fry bread and stew which were very good.
You can have the salad bar and soup if you want to avoid the fry stuff.

“The Navajo Indians looked after us very well”

Reasonable food and fast service at a fair price. Not much else around but worth a visit on the way to Monument Valley.

“food with a view, and other things to do.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We ate here on our tour of monument valley. The stagecoach dining room is in the gouldings lodge across the street form the visitor center. We decided to escape the zoo like atmosphere across the street at the view hotel and try here instead. Great choice first of all you have some peace and rest here. The view was wonderful and the food was good. They have some good american choices here steak and potato. they also have some navajo plates as well and a fresh salad bar.
Everything tasted good , the staff was well attentive, and the prices are reasonable.
After your meal there is a gift shop (better priced than the one across the street) a museum, and a nice view of the valley. certanly worth a trip.
